Kinta Kan Hotel Boutique Cozumel

The beachfront is super nice and from outside, the hotel looks like it does on the official pictures. Also the pool is nice, staff is friendly and location is pretty good - like 1 min walk to Quinta Avenida and 5min walk to Cozumel ferry. BUT The rooms are not very clean, there actually is no wardrobe as the only „place“ to hang or put you clothes is the bathroom where it is simply too damp for that. The aircondition is sprinkling water over the bed and clothes which you will probably have in your suitcase as there is no other place to put it, there are damp stains on the walls ans usually at evening there‘s a really weird rotten smell coming from the sink. The choices for breakfast are super limited and while the view is amazing (you are practically at the beach), the wind is blowing really hard and makes sure your eggs or coffee are cold before you even start eating or drinking. My room was facing the pool and all of the rooms (at least on groundfloor) only have glass windows/doors, which means that if the curtains are not closed, people coming „home“ will be practically passing your bed or watching you pee, if you also haven’t closed the door to the bathroom. Besides - due to location it is insanely loud, so first thing I did was buying earplugs. Also and that obviously was not the fault of the hotel - they are facing a really big sea grass issue at the moment.

Very nice hotel, the rooms are modern the pool is nice, sea front room beautiful view, Netflix on the tv, air con in room Our lock on the door was slightly dodgy and once the issue was raised the maintenance man came out and changed the lock straight away which made us feel safe. We are a couple (20yo) and it’s a very relaxing place cannot go wrong!
