It is situated on 22 acres, on a quiet country road, away from highways. We have satellite TV, Internet and AT&T cell phone access. There is a convenient, clean propane stove, and a fully equipped kitchen. You can make a cozy fire in the outdoor fire pit. Watch deer, turkeys, elk and moose, and occasionally the neighbor's hound dog right from the front porch.
You will be just minutes away from world class boating, fishing, snowmobiling, or hiking or riding endless mountain trails. Or cross country ski right out the back door. The closest ski lift is 1 1/2 hours away in Sandpoint, Idaho.
If you don't feel like cooking yourself, there are fabulous restaurants and lounges in Trout Creek and nearby towns.

We absolutely loved staying at the Homestead. A great property and the hosts were very helpful. It alao felt private. We loved having the horses and dogs around us as well. We will be back!!

Perfect Montana escape. I couldn’t have painted a better picture in my mind of the cabin I wanted to stay in as my family laid my dad to rest. We’ll equiped, homey and complete with the history of former owners.

Great place to stay!
Peaceful quiet location. Check-in was nice and easy! Close to town and the lake. Can’t wait to stay again for another fishing trip!

The Old Homestead is wonderful.
The Old Homestead and the rest of the property was beautiful and quiet. It was perfect for us and our Irish Setter.

Beautiful peaceful place. Family friendly and also could be a romantic getaway. They have everything you need. Absolutely loved this log cabin experience.

Peaceful Montana
My husband and I stayed two nights in this spacious historic cabin. We were surprised at the amenities that were provided. This is a wonderful property to enjoy your stay!
