Sporthotel Austria

We had an amazing stay at the Sporthotel Austria. Skiing for a week with the family, the hotel is close to the lifts and ski school which was perfect for us with children. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Food at this hotel is really good. 5 courses for dinner, everything tasted wonderful. Lovely hot food served by their friendly staff. Breakfast had plenty of choice to suit everyone. Great relaxing bar area for a few evening drinks. Kids loved being able to have a swim after a full day skiing. Great hotel, can't wait to go back!

Fantastic hotel, staff, food and bedroom. Johnny and his team are wonderful. We have been skiing for over 30 years at different locations and accommodation but this was definitely in our top 5. Well done johnny, hope to see you again in the future.

Nestled in a quiet street in the picturesque village of Sank't Johann in Tirol Sporthotel offers you a unique insight into what an hotel should be. It's tranquil, welcoming and professional. The rooms are cleverly laid out with impeccable cleanliness and design. They offer comfort, space and wonderful views. Breakfast is a lavish affair with multi choice buffet options. Dinner of many courses is varied and interesting and thoroughly enjoyable. All of this is matched by the most wonderful hospitality and welcome. At the forefront of this is proprietor Johnny and the remarkably talented and ultra professional Sonja. This hotel is ideally situated to explore this region with easy access to trains to explore My third visit with my charming friend. We have already booked for 2025 but this time for 2 weeks. Both she and I are really looking forward to it

I just love this hotel. I have been coming to this hotel with family and friends since 2017. For the last two years I have been coming on my own and I have been welcomed with open arms by Johnny and Sonya. The food is fantastic and such a huge choice. Very friendly and hard working staff. Great location for the ski slopes and for seeing the town. looking forward to returning.

This was our first visit to Sporthotel Austria - it was a superb stay! I can thoroughly recommend this hotel on all accounts. The location is perfect - ideal for the gondola, only minutes away, and only a short walk to the town centre. Our bedroom was very comfortable, pristine clean and with very high quality linen. Our balcony had breath-taking mountain views and scenery. The service is very attentive and the staff cannot do enough for you. The food was amazing - Breakfast offers a large selection of continental cheese, meats etc, along with cereals and a large variety of breads. They also provide a choice of hot English style too. Evening Dinner was an exceptional 4 course every night. We were lucky enough to be there for the 7-course Gala Dinner on Christmas Eve, which was outstanding. Compliments to the chef and all the kitchen and waiting staff. Apres-ski from 3.00pm, offers homemade soup and a selection of sandwiches and treats in the bar/stuberl lounge area, which is very relaxing. The hotel itself is of a beautiful Traditional style with lovely decor. A big thank you to Johnny, Sonia, Daniel and all The Team. I can highly recommend this hotel, and we would definitely return. We had the warmest of greetings when we arrived , all the staff were bright and cheerful and couldn't do enough for our group of 4. The hotel was warm and cosy, especially when the temperature changed from 29°c to 2°c in a week! Food was excellent,lots of choices and very plentiful. You'd have to be a very picky eater to not find something to eat. The restaurant remembered my Uncles allergy to tomatos and endeavoured to look after him. They also do a small lunch menu and afternoon tea which was very welcome after we'd completed a 15 mile walk. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and the show was excellent. The hotel is ideally situated for walking into the beautiful countryside and is just 5/10 minutes into town. Plenty of shops and a wonderful brewery with a bar at the top overlooking the valley and mountains.
