La Foresteria Serego Alighieri

The wine experience was at mildest disappointing and it felt like it was the first time the experience was being held. The surroundings were beautiful and seeing the ventilationloft was fine, wich gives it the 1 star. There was not much information about how the grapes are taken care of to get the perfect quality or anything like that. The whole experience started out with a man who apparently booked a private tour for him and his family. This had to be sorted out, and delayed the tour. Next up was the walk through the estate, by the winefield and the loft and a small part of the cellar. Then the truely disappointing part.. first, there was a "mix up" in who ordered the pairing with cheese, wich was everyone on the tour, but the cheese was only prepaired for one family. Next up, the presentation of the wine. All four wines were just presented at once, then we were told where to find the restroom, and were then left to taste the wine and cheeses on our own. No introduction to wich notes to taste or how to do winetasting in general. Thankfully we have been to lots of winetastings through the years and are very passionate about wine, and therefore knew how to get the most out of the tasting, but this part missing definately took alot off of the experience. Meanwhile the group was left to taste all four wines at once, the presenter of the tour and wine left to be with the man I mentioned before. They were presented with several wines and lots of information about the wines and tasted them one by one. This made it seem like he was very eager to get the winetour with the group overwith so he could spend his time and energy on the man and his family. It made the whole experience very vague, and we definately expected more from a house of wine like Masi.

Für zwei Nächte wohnten wir im Taubenturm der Foresteria. 3 kleine Räume sind mit einer Wendeltreppe verbunden. Den besten Blick hat man vom Schlafzimmer, dem obersten Raum. Die Foresteria liegt in einem sehr schönen Weingut. Gute Restaurants befinden sich in der Nähe. Das Frühstück ist nicht überwältigend, es gibt keine Eierspeisen und keine frischen Säfte. Eine Führung durch das Weingut mit Weinprobe sollte man unbedingt mitmachen.

Ein ganz besonderer Ort. Ein Weingut, alte Gemäuer, majestätische Bäume, Vögel, die einen früh morgens mit ihrem Gezwitscher wecken😊 Wir hatten für 200€ pro Nacht eine tolle Wohnung mit 2 SZ und 2 Badezimmern. Wein und Kuchen sowie Wasser war zur Begrüssung im Zimmer. Das Frühstück (mit selbst gemachter Marmelade und Kuchen) konnten wir jeweils draussen einnehmen, mit Blick ins Grüne, einfach herrlich! Eine eigene Welt für Ruhesuchende, nah von Verona (haben wir mit dem Bus Nr. 103 besucht) und vom Gardasee. Wer sich interessiert, kann an einer 2-stündigen Führung mit Degustation teilnehmen, die in italienisch oder englisch angeboten wird.
