Excellent location, excellent view, and with great staff you won’t find anywhere else. Home made cake is a must, you won’t regret it. They have some lovely animals on site, they noisy geese demand your company which you cannot refuse!

This is a lovely hotel. A great location in the hills, beautiful and quiet. Surrounded by orange, lemon and olive trees, with fab views and gardens to sit in quiet corners. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately clean. The pool area, the same. The animals are a nice touch, with a donkey, some sheep, peacocks and turtles. And cats wandering around the gardens. All of that makes this a nice place to stay. But the star of this hotel, for us, was the restaurant, the quality of the food and the fantastic staff. From the sweetest, juiciest oranges and figs from the gardens for breakfast, to Algarvian fish stew for dinner, to local specialities like Cataplan, the quality of the food is very high. The staff of this hotel are of course very professional, but they also give a lovely personal service. They are so helpful, friendly and kind. Everyone goes the extra mile to make people feel welcome. Special thanks from us go to Pedro, the restaurant manager, and Miguel and Sofia. Making people feel special, as you do, is not easy, but it makes a huge difference to your guests. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Quaint, quiet secluded hotel. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel at home! Definitely book if you’re looking for a relaxing holiday. We ate breakfast every morning, enjoyed the pool, and utilized the spa (steam room and sauna) as well. Highly recommend the restaurant for dinner, the cataplanas was the best dinner we had in Portugal!

We visited this wonderful quinta in Pinhão during the harvest. The whole village was buzzing with harvest atmosphere and our guided tour inside and around the quinta - where we could actually witness the whole production - was SO interesting. Our guide was very nice, dedicated and spoke English very well. The tastings opened up a whole new world of port for us. And everything tasted lovely! We choose this quinta because it was very easy to reach when you’re travelling by train. But we would choose it all over again no matter what.

The pool is very small, staff not extremely friendly (with a few exceptions). Rooms are OK. Overall a nice place but would have expected something more for the same price. The breakfast is rather poor but the dinner is actually pretty good with some very good local dishes. Overall below expectations.
