We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Belvedere! We spent our first night hiking the magna via Francigena in Santa Cristina Gela and had a fantastic night. It is a lovely town full of very nice welcoming people. Belvedere was wonderful- the rooms are simple but very comfortable, the food in the restaurant is incredible, and the hosts Giovanni and Mima totally made our trip. They are friendly, informative, and made us feel very welcome and at ease. We hope to be back! Highly recommend a stop here.

We had the great fortune to stay at this hotel during our walk along the Magna via Francigena. It was such a warm and welcoming hotel. The owners were so friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding -- we had breakfast, lunch and dinner including large portions of pizza and pasta. The room was spacious with a nice hot shower, everything needed to prepare for a long day of hiking. The town was charming. Pretty much everything we had hoped for our annual pilgrimage.

Excellent stay in Santa Cristina Gela. Very well looked after, including a special offer for those on the Vie Francigene pilgrim trail (dinner, bed and breakfast). Hit the road next day in great spirits!

We walked to Albergo Belevedere from Palermo at the start of our 17 day trek across Sicily in April, 2023. Mimma and Giovanni greeted us so warmly that we felt at home right away. In fact, before we even realized what was happening, Giovanni had carried our packs up to our room for us, perhaps having realized how exhausted we really were. Our room (and the entire hotel) was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. We were able to wash out some clothing and they helped us hang it so that it would be sure to dry by morning. Dinner was lovely with tasty pasta and a large salad, and breakfast the next morning included all sorts of tempting and fortifying choices, including locally grown, very sweet and juicy oranges. But the real highlight of our stay was being together with Giovanni and Mimma, both of whom were so genuine, caring and warm. You could never have guessed that we were just transient pilgrims, staying for only one night, soon to pass out of their lives and be replaced by the next day's guests. What a truly wonderful experience we had with them!

Dovevo comperare dei dolci, la pasticceria dove mi servo di solito era chiusa per ferie, mi trovo a Santa Cristina, mi fermo presso la struttura chiedo se c'è la possibilità di avere dei dolci ed ordino 20 cannoli. Dopo circa 20 min. mi si presenta un vassoio con dei cannoli che si lasciavano mangiare alla solo vista. Porto il vassoio nel luogo dove dovevo andare e mi hanno fatto i complimenti, buccia croccante, ricotta freschissima, CANNOLO FAVOLOSO: giro i complimenti a Giovanni e, sicuramente, effettuerò altra esperienza.

non fatevi ingannare dalle modalità un po brusche del proprietario, se siete in viaggio troverete un luogo accogliente, atmosfera familiare, pulizia e abbondante colazione. la cena in famiglia con i proprietari corona l'esperienza.Una vera accoglienza degna di un posto tappa. grazie
