Globales Santa Ponsa Park

We were really satisfied with our stay. Rooms were modern and very clean. Great sized balcony with view of the sunrise. Good shower pressure. Only negative about the room was they gave us twin beds on wheels so the beds would move apart even though they were places next to each other. Food was great, lots of choice and fresh. We didn’t use the pool area as we prefer to go exploring during the day. The beach is a 5 min walk away so spent some nights watching the sunset with a blanket, drinks and snacks. This was so beautiful. The sea is very calm. The hotel and location met our needs for the price and would definitely recommend. We set our expectations low after reading the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. I think some people expect 5* service and facilities at a cheap price. So don’t mind them.

Can't really fault the hotel for the price everywhere kept clean at all times food ok .( not always what I fancied for tea but there was always something) went with family of 18 and we all had a good time with the kids great location. Room could do with a little up date but wouldn't stop me visiting again .

No way this is a 4 **** hotel. The food and catering staff were good. But cleaners are not the best. The sunbed wars is just the same as everywhere else, and reserving with towels some folk never sat on their reserved beds all day. Some folk thought they were entitled to the same sunbed every day and if someone sat on a sunbed that they thought was there’s the minute someone turned their back to get a drink from the bar you could come they would chuck your towel off and claim the sunbed back which they had on previous days. It was like they thought they had their name embroidered on it . Many times we witnessed situations and arguments. The hotel gives you a leaflet of rules and no reserving sunbeds is one of them, reserving of sunbeds started at 6.30 am ish. In the 10 day stay only 1 day the manager was seen removing towels from reserved sunbeds that were unoccupied for 15 mins or more. Oh and the bar staff are quite good too.

We stayed at the globales playa, 1 of the 3 sister hotels, the hotel was clean, however very dated, the bathroom was small & the shower was so so small, the pool and beds at globales playa were in the shade until around 2/3pm so pointless sitting around the pool if you wanted to get a tan. I can’t really comment on the food, we went all inclusive but only used the breakfast once due to no sunbeds around either of the 2 sister hotels, we visited in October so I would hate to see what it was like in the peak times. The plastic cups, whilst I agree it saves waste are an inconvenience, we left them in the room when going for a walk and to go back and fetch them to go back to the bar was a bit of a pain. I wouldn’t return to globales playa or the sister hotels but only due to the fact you can’t get a bed, the 1 use cups, dated rooms & shower so small you had to leave the doors open just to put your arms up to wash your hair. stayed at globales mimosa in palma nova 2 weeks before & you could get 2 drinks at a time & didn’t need to keep your cup with you at all times, rooms were great size & food etc was great. Shame really as it’s the same chain.

Nice hotel, well located but rooms are tired. We arrived late and given room 141 ....awful room on the road above the Spar and directly opposite Bar Zurich. Fortunately, after raising our concerns with reception, we were allowed to move to a second floor room pool side. Much, much better. Couple of niggles issued with plastic glasses on arrival..why?......Bar staff immediately replace them everytime you have a drink. No kettle or cups in the room. Tea coffee machines turned off at lunch and meal times...tea/ coffee available via flasks and paper cups in the bar area. No pool towels, buffet restaurant a tad monotonous no hot griddle no pancakes, omelette etc. For breakfast. The food was good and the buffet was regularly refreshed.

Did not arrive until the early hours so was tried the man behind the desk finished his conversation with another member of staff before attending to us so that was not a very good first impression.Was not shown to our room just gave us the key and was told where to go, the room was very inclosed and no air conditioner had been put on so was very stuffy opened the balcony door to a view of a rooftop overlooking the back of a cap park and the back of shops.Went down for breakfast the so called hot food was either just warm or cold( scrambled eggs and mushrooms and baked beans)lunch a little better, evening meals were repetitive for the first 3 night so eat out the remaining three, costing us money we did not budget for as we had paid extra for all inclusive.The pool area where we went and twice we sat on the floor as there we’re not enough sun beds for the size of the hotel. The sun beds that were out had a lot of towels on them but no people, I believe this to be very unfair when you have to sit on the ground.My husband and I have used Globales hotels for several years but I’m afraid would not come back here or be recommended it to anyone. We love Santa ponsa and the only reason we had this hotel as Globales Verdemar was fully booked unfortunately.
