Sun Beach

Stayed here a week with my husband and 2 teenagers. The location is fab and bar area and reception area very nice . The beds are pretty uncomfortable and the sunbeds round the pool need updated but it is a 3 star hotel so I wasn't expecting anymore . We had a bit of an issue with a bad smell and a few cockroaches in apartment but once I said to reception they cleaned the room daily and got rid of the smell. Big shout out to Marta on reception she was just brilliant for start to finish. Service with a smile . She definitely is a credit to sun beach hotel .

From check in to departure it is not possible to say anything negative about this hotel. Every member of staff from management to cleaners were polite and helpful in the extreme. Hotel perfectly positioned overlooking the beach and sea. Many, many bars and restaurants right outside the doors. If you turn left you hit party town, not our cup of tea but many appeared to be enjoying it. Turn right for quieter bars and eateries of which there are many. We had a 7th floor apartment which was plenty big enough for us. A decent lounge diner with kitchen area, fully equipped for self catering. Large bedroom with huge bed plentiful wardrobe space for all. Modern bathroom which was immaculate. Outside the door a private patio with sunbeds and outdoor furniture meant you did not have to move if you did not want. Bedding and towels changed every other day and cleaners were fastidious. Pool area and sun deck with plentiful loungers for all. Pool bar run by the lovely Michelle was well priced and very comfortably furnished. Very good supermarket within 100M meant self catering was very easy. A special shout out for the brilliant Marta who remembers everything and nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely hotel, nice staff, great view ( from floor 9, which was ours ) spotlessly clean. Right in the middle of the Main Street with bars and restaurants, but very quiet too. W e are disabled and had mobility scooters which we took with us, no problem, we had our own a parking and charging area, Just one quirky thing, to get to our apartment we used the lift to the third floor, then across the “ bridge “ to the next lift up to the seventh floor, then through a passageway to the next lift up to the ninth floor ! Sounds like a right palarver, but it wasn’t it was ok. Don’t be put off. Anyway definitely going to go again, it was great.

Lovely hotel, close to some lovely bars and restaurants. Rooms lovely and modern. Pool bar was ok, soda machine had too much syrup. Pool is good, wish had steps rather than a ladder.Would stay again, minor niggles but not worth writing the place off.

We booked these apartments months ago for a check-in date of 21st Sept. We have stayed here previously so we were happy enough to book again. The day before we planned to fly out (19th Sept) we received a message from the manager of the apartments informing us that our booking has been cancelled because after our previous stay there we gave them a bad review. Firstly I do not recall giving these apartments a review let alone a bad one and as we had booked again to go any review I did give can't have been that bad. To,wait until the day before we were due to fly out to cancel our booking is a horrible thing to have done. Anyone who has booked these apartments then beware and take heed of our experience.

We stayed in the sun beach Santa ponsa for 3 nights 30th of August to 2nd of sept. we were met at reception by the famous Marta. i say famous because when i was checking trip advisor Marta's name came up time & time again & everybody had only goods things to say about the famous Marta. They were not wrong. Sorted out the paper work & payment side of things & away we go. We selected a one bed apartment premium with sea view room 704. & were very happy with what we got , 2 A/C units one in the bedroom & one in the sitting room / kitchen. A Tv which had plenty of channels as well as radio stations ( kiss FM was our favorite ) Beds were solid which we asked for as my wife has a back issue & needs a solid mattress. A safe was in the bedroom which we used , 5 Euro deposit which we got back. Other people had mentioned the issue about taking 2/3 lifts to get to the rooms we had to take 2 lifts.1st, from the reception to level 3 walk across the bridge & take the lift up to the 7th floor no big deal i thought anyway but beware lifts are small. The pool was fab, a life guard on duty at all times plenty of sun loungers & a pool bar. We received a welcome drink on arrival. All been said we enjoyed out time at the sun beach & look forward to returning again. Did i mention Marta always smiling & will always make time to say hello. Best Regards Mick & Anne
