Hotel Pinos Playa

I don’t often write poor reviews unless I really have to. On this occasion I need to share my experience to prevent others experiencing the same. I have stated that this hotel is unsafe due to someone unlocking our door and entering our room whilst we were sleeping in the night. Fortunately we both heard the door open and the intruder ran away when my husband jumped out of bed. I alerted the hotel staff the following morning and although they apologised they were very nonchalant about the incident and stated how it was possible someone could obtain the wrong key (I won’t share how for obvious reasons). This suggests to me that this has happened before and I think the hotel’s approach to safety is therefore not acceptable. Safety aside and before the incident I was also disappointed with the hotel. The price per night is not reflective of what you get. The rooms are not particularly clean, we had long black hairs on our floor, small black hairs scattered around the bathroom. The hotel is very tired and the rooms are too. It is like stepping back into the 1970s. The towels are old and discoloured and the beds are rock solid and so uncomfortable. The hotel hosts entertainment in the evening (which I also think is quite old fashioned for a small hotel) and it would be more worthwhile for guests if they instead spent money on new towels and generally a refurb! I’m disappointed we spent hard earned money staying here and instead wish we had rented an apartment. Sorry to say that is was just a disaster and I would actively discourage others from staying here!

It is a very starneg hotel. Has two building, I guess the "main" building is better equiped than the other one where I stayed. It is more a 2star hotel than a 3... the room was more or less tidy, tap water is not drinkable at all (salty) the breakfast was okay but nothing special. The staff is not too friendly, had to wait a lot for the check-in because the recepctionist was in a call with a friend. At the check out they wanted to charge the tourist tax again, but fortunately I kept the bill from before. Overall is an updated hotel but in a fantastic small village. Be aware to book dinner in advance in the nearby restaurants beacsue they are always fully booked.

When you book this hotel be aware because nobody mentions that the hotel is in 2 parts, part 1 overlooking the sea, part 2 across the road overlooking scrubland/road and some rooms have a glimps of the sea. Also the pool is in part 2 with a pool bar, whilst the restaurant is in part 1 (which has beautiful views of the sea). When I booked I expected to be in part 1 with some kind of view as description didn’t mention it was a split hotel. The rooms did not have a kettle or hot drink facility, they are basic but clean, some have baths, others showers. The walls are very thin, and unfortunately we had a baby next door that screamed throughout the night so we requested a move, which we got. A lot of people complained that the cleaners were noisy scraping furniture whilst cleaning rooms, but I just think they were thorough, moving furniture to get rid of sand etc. The staff were very pleasant except the boy on reception who wasn’t very helpful, Catarina was lovely as was Vincente, Angel,Maria, slim lady ( sorry never got your name) and the bar staff. The cleaners always said hello (ola) and were very pleasant. The night man was a cutie. Vincente was very kind on our 39th wedding anniversary, so thank you. The food for breakfast had a wide variety to suit all tastes, the dinner was lovely variety too, and all good fresh quality. Drinks are charged to your room. Wine is about €14 a bottle and water €2.50 a bottle. Breakfast 8.00-10.00 dinner 18.30-21.00. It was not mentioned that to get to the beach you have to be able to manage approx 100 steps ..down and up, or another way about 30 steps across a precarious path in front of the boat sheds. This has no good pushchair/wheelchair access unless you walk down a hill (and up a hill) along the road way. It also states in the description that the centre is 250 metres away! Not sure what they meant by this as there is no town centre. There is only 1 supermarket (which do fresh baguettes), and 2 restaurants, that is the total, nothing else. To get to Santanyi centre a bus from the end of the beach costs €4.50 each way (actually works out cheaper to get a taxi) buses not reliable and you MUST wear a mask…STILL. It takes about 10 mins to get there. There are 2 market days, 8.00 - 14.00 it’s a big market mainly fruit, clothes and bags. It has restaurants, one little restaurants that is away from market but 1 min walk from bus stop is good value just walk past the park. Overall this is a beautiful location, but I was bored, definitely not a place for young people or if you like to walk around browsing shops. In fact apart from the pool bar it offers nothing. It’s an older persons retreat but even at my age 3 days here would have been enough. There are excursions but at a price, bike hire (if you can manage hills). Never found the sauna mentioned also in the description and messages you have to book. So over all 3/5

Location strategica, sopra la cala di Santany. Dalla sala ristorante si gode di un panorama mozzafiato, così come da molte altre stanze. L'hotel dispone di due edifici, quello principale con il ristorante e uno nuovo aldilà della strada. Le camere sono ben arredate sui toni del bianco e verde acqua, nell'edificio nuovo sono più silenziose, anche se la vista mare non è la stessa. Consiglio la Junior Suite vista mare frontale che è stupenda. Il ristorante serve cibi buoni e varietà un pó limitata su pesce e colazione continentale. Da migliorare gli orari dei pasti. Il personale è molto attento, cortese ed affabile. Spiaggia e mare sottostanti sono un paradiso a cui si accede da una passeggiate che parte da sotto l'albergo. Purtroppo quest'anno non era attrezzata, niente ombrelloni, nè lettini, nè docce e bagni. La piscina è un pò piccola, ma i lettini sono comodi e corredati da ombrellone e tavolo con sedie. Il bar offre di tutto a prezzi molto onesti. La sera a giorni alterni ci sono spettacoli gradevoli. Nel complesso è un posto per rilassarsi e molto tranquillo.

L'hotel ha una posizione incantevole sulla Cala Santany. È disposto su due strutture. Si mangia il giusto senza esagerazioni e il cibo è molto buono. Il personale tutto è cordiale e premuroso. L'hotel è anche molto silenzioso. La piscina supplisce alla mancata spiaggia non attrezzata. Peccato, perché la cala è veramente splendida. Anche i ristorantini della zona sono molto carini. Insomma l'unico neo per il turista è la mancanza di ombrelloni e sdraio. L'anno scorso c'erano!!! Cmq è un posto che consiglio.

Hotel muito bem localizado tem parque de estacionamento muito perto e não se paga, tem restaurantes perto, e supermercado perto. O hotel tem vista praia e acesso direto. Quartos sempre limpos e arrumados. Ambiente acolhedor. Serviço de bar e restaurante muito atenciosos e simpáticos. Agradecimento em especial a recepcionista Patrícia que esteve sempre disponível. Muito obrigada á toda equipa. Voltaremos 🤎🌺
