Great Location 2 mins walk from the airport bus stop, lovely clean and helpful staff. Beds are very comfy and the showers are great, also love the availability of water in the main hall to use, thanks Louisa and Isabell for the tips and helping us with the maps, also lovely breakfast

For our party of 5 we had 2 separate rooms: standard for 2 and a larger room for 3 (although it could accommodate 4). Our larger room on the top floor had angled ceilings (and skylights), so just be mindful as you are walking around. We did appreciate the separation of rooms: 2 twins in a smaller enclosed area with the queen bed in the larger common area (with sofa chairs for additional relaxation). Continental breakfast was simple and delicious (they squeeze the orange juice for you when seated). Being uphill from the Cathedral, the location was quiet compared to the busier area below the Cathedral, but taking a taxi to return was very inexpensive and a relief after all the walking.

Wonderful place with an exceptional front desk staff. Just on the edge of the old city so easy to walk to the sites yet not overrun with tourists. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit SdeC. Rooms are very clean and charming. Ours was on the street but the double windows kept it quiet. Modern yet integrated with stone walls. Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly, though with mixed English abilities. Only complaint is breakfast is poor. Meager selection of food and the coffee machine totally sucks, don’t pay for it. However there’s a multitude of cafes within a few minutes walk so it’s not a big issue.

Beautiful old building transformed into a modern BnB. The reception staff , specifically Cristina very courteous and helpful. The room was immaculate with very good air conditioning. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. Will definitely return!

Fantastic cost hotel, very central and friendly. We arrived at midnight after reception was closed but the hotel sent me instructions for checking in and it was super easy. Breakfast was great. Santiago de Compostela is a beautiful little city.

We stayed here at the end of our camino. The rooms were perfect to relax and recuperate after a long trek. Clearly recently refurbished the fittings are great and the rooms were very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean worth plenty of space and a good quality shower. It's at the edge of the old town so a bit of a walk down town but this also means it's peaceful and quiet for a great night's sleep! The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Conveniently located on the edge of the old town, Atalaia B&B is a 3-minute walk from a parking garage and 7 minutes from the cathedral. We upgraded to a superior double which turned out to be one of the largest rooms we had on our trip. The room blends refined modern touches with ancient architectural elements such as a gigantic granite fire place and sink. The room has plenty of storage space and outlets for charging electronics and a strong Wi-Fi connection. There was no safe or coffee and tea service. The bathroom is small, very small, but functioned reasonably well with some counter space around the sink. The small shower had good water pressure and hot water but did have a drain problem with water running into the bathroom if you weren’t careful. The breakfast buffet was a modest affair with just a couple of choices of bread, sliced fruit, cheese, ham, jam, cereal, cake, croissants, yogurt and juice. Good coffee was from a self-serve machine.

I was expecting more after reading the previous reviews. The location was certainly great - but after that, things fell off. As the title suggests, I was very turned off by the glass phone booth toilet in our room (see photo). Other issues seem to be a product of being short staffed - not always someone at the front desk, depleted breakfast bar - with both food and plates/glasses not replenished, missing toilet paper & paper towels in public WC near breakfast area, etc. None of this was devastating - I just expected a bit more.
