Andromeda Villas & Spa Resort

Even though it was before check-in time, they showed me to a room early for me while I was waiting. All staff are active and friendly. Above all, the breakfast and spa massage were fantastic.

The view is amazing. April was not too hot so perfect climate. Upon arrival the reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The villas are spread out up and down the cliff. So be ware if you have walking difficulties. Our room was high up which gives you the best views. Rooms are small but clean. Little terrace looking out to sea. The pool area is on a lower level and is not heated so very cold. The pool bar is nice and friendly staff. The food was lovely here. There are more sunbeds and a small plunge pool on another level up from the main pool. If it was peak season I don’t think there would be enough sunbeds for all the guests. Towels are provided. There was a wedding one day in the hotel which looked lovely however the main restaurant was closed due to the wedding which we were not informed of. There is a walk way from the hotel that you can go explore the island in both directions however be mindful of footwear as the path is very un even and steep at times. There are a few mini markets close by and also a carre four larger supermarket about 15 mins walk. The rooms have a small fridge to keep water etc in. The rooms are all close together , you need to cross over other guests terrace to reach your own room. Also you can hear people next door so be ware if like us we had a large noisy group arrive one day. There are few restaurants within walking distance. Santorini is very expensive. On average €10 a wine or beer and about €25-€40 for a main meal.

The room that we booked (3 months in advance) was not available and we were made to go up and down 5-6 times to look at different rooms. This is totally unacceptable and we should have been informed about the unavailability well in advance. We had booked a two bedroom suite so that we could all be together and that didn’t happen. To make it worse the people at the reception were trying to portray as if they are trying to give us an upgrade. After a 10 hour flight we had to wait for 2 hours before we got our room. To make up for this, we were given free dinner and Prosecco which is nice but the whole point of the experience with the stay was ruined.
