Aplada Suites

Alpada Suites was a low point in our vacation and ruined what could have been a perfect time in Santorini. You can see in other reviews the hosts responding to people defending themselves and saying they weren’t bad, but they’re lying. The host who greeted us treated us poorly, asked us questions that were not appropriate, and made us feel uncomfortable throughout our stay. All of the rooms don’t have pool access, so beware of which one you choose. They canceled our review on Booking while we were still at the hotel, probably so that we could not leave a bad review there. When we were finally able to leave a review on Booking, they wrote us saying they would give us a refund if we took the review down.

This is the first time I have ever left a negative review anywhere. Our stay was bizarre and bad to the point it put a bit of a damper on our entire time in Oia. The hotel canceled our reservation on *********** mid-way through our stay without explanation and never responded to us again. I wonder if it was to stop us from leaving a review there. Overall there were a lot of little negatives that really added up. The man working at the hotel complained that we arrived late (we got there at 4:30 pm) and made fun of us for not speaking Greek (we are from Mexico and the US). We spent about 30 minutes going back and forth with the owners over our request for an extra blanket as they demanded we explain why we wanted one instead of just saying yes or no. We had a similar experience over a wine opener. We had thought we would have access to the pools given the pictures, which we did not. Was our confusion, but be warned as the photos were misleading. Overall, it was just uncomfortable. If you are considering staying here, a couple of notes. It is a long walk from the street and steep on the way up, so if mobility is an issue, it is something to consider, though it really is beautiful and serene. As noted, the pools may not be available for you, so check! Also, it is possible to reach by bus easily. We did a bus from the airport to the center of Fira that was about 10 minutes and then another bus to Oia that was 15-20. Was much cheaper than a taxi.

Aplada Suites is located just outside the village, it is a 10 minutes walk to the bus station and the heart of Oia where you can watch the sunset. This means it is absolutely calm and offers privacy while not being too far off, which we very much appreciated. The hosts are extremely nice and approachable, Paz was even ready to help with restaurant reservations and advice on where to go for the maximum Santorini experience. We had a suite on the ground floor, I would book a suite with sea view though. Breakfast is served in the room, vegan options are available. If we go to Santorini next time, we'd choose this place again :)

We spent 4 nights at the Aplada Suites and can only recommend our stay. Everything was great. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and the distance to Oia is short. Yannis was very nice and even drove us sometimes to the street because my mother in law has some problems with walking. We can definitively recommend Aplada Suites!

Io e mio marito siamo stati in questa fantastica struttura per il nostro anniversario di matrimonio. Che dire… tutto pazzesco! La casa spaziosa, pulita e veramente perfetta!!!! La piscina esterna privata è un qualcosa di indescrivibile, immersi nella pace di Oia consiglio assolutamente questa location!!! Gli host sono stati gentilissimi! Veramente un’esperienza fantastica

Di persona avevamo pattuito una camera pagando cash ma arrivati il giorno dopo l aveva già venduta sostituendola con un'altra senza piscina nel seminterrato senza avvertirci. Juan molto molto disonesto. Dopo le ns proteste ci ha permesso di utilizzare la piscina delle altre camere. Poiché era solo x 2 notti abbiamo accettato. Le camere con piscina sono graziose l hotel si trova a pochi minuti dal centro ma per arrivare bisogna percorrere una strada solo a piedi di circa 100mt poco agevole non indicato a chi ha passeggini. Avevamo prenotato tramite il proprietario un taxi x portarci in aeroporto che ovviamente non è arrivato!!! Il proprietario inaffidabile e leggendo le altre recensioni non siamo stati gli unici. Per chi invece ha la fortuna di soggiornare nelle camere con piscina il pernottamento sarà gradevole. La pulizia delle camere lascia desiderate mentre gli spazi comuni risultano puliti. A noi il giorno dopo non è stata rifatta la camera. Dopo ciò io non ritornerei in zona esistono strutture molto più carine ad un prezzo inferiore.
