Afrodete Hotel

Charming Greek style hotel in the heart of Firostefani. Clean, bright, quiet, comfortable, and modern, close to fabulous cafes (try Galini) and a short walk to the caldera. The staff are obliging and friendly. Angeliki, the manager, arranged our transport from the ferry and to the airport. The driver looked after me so well after a horrendous ride on the sea jet from Amorgos. He couldn't have been more kind, caring, and thoughtful. Angelika also emailed before arrival to let us know there would be a volcano reenactment and fireworks display over the caldera that night. It was fantastic entertainment! Staff gave us directions and were helpful in orienting us to the area. Firostefani is in the upper part of Fira so not quite as busy and hectic but still right on the caldera and with sunset views just steps away. Note: This is not a good space for someone with mobility issues because of its inclined driveway and steps up to the rooms. But it has a cool jacuzzi and a labyrinth of delightful balconies that would make a great setting for a chase film;)

I had a fantastic stay at Afrodete Hotel. Firstly, its location couldn't be more ideal - it's near to the centre of Fira which is easily walkable. The hotel itself is clean and very comfortable. It's a hidden jewel when searching for hotels to stay in in Satnorini- I can't recommend it enough. Also Angeliki is extremely responsive and helpful with all manner of questions - from late check to local recommendations. Thank you!

Wow! Everything about this hotel is great. Location is perfect as you can get to Fira by foot within 5-8 minutes, to Imerovigli by foot, albeit uphill and all over the island. Rooms are really really clean a spacious. We stayed in a superior sea view room and were not disappointed (see pictures) But what makes this hotel is the very friendly and helpful staff, all of them! They will go out of their way to help you. We had a flight at 7pm so had to check out at 11. They offered us a place to put out luggage, rest, have a shower, drink until our taxi arrived. Never had this from a hotel before! Pool is small but great for a dip when the weather is hot! Can’t recommend it enough.

This is a lovely boutique hotel with just a few rooms. Only about 100 metres from Firostefani in one direction and about 500m from Fira in the other. The hotel is up a slope that looks out over the east of the island, so gets the sunrise every morning. The room is large with good facilities - fridge, terrace, comfortable bed and seating. The bathroom is tasteful and a good shower. The owners were brilliant - very helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. I had a great stay and would recommend!

Abbiamo soggiornato in una camera superior per 3 notti. Stanza spaziosa e pulita, con un bellissimo terrazzo vista mare. La piccola piscina con idromassaggio è sicuramente un valore aggiunto, molto apprezzata al ritorno da una calda giornata d'estate. Di fronte all'hotel è presente un comodo parcheggio. Titolare e personale molto gentili e pronti a soddisfare ogni richiesta. Consigliatissimo!
