Orizontes Hotel Santorini

The condition of hotel and specially the room is horrible. It is far away from photos on websites. Breakfast also poor. We left after first night.

First of all we booked a room with a double bed and when we arrived at the hotel and we checked our room we notice that there where two single beds pushed together and they told us that the most rooms are like this. Also, the shower didn't have a door that closed, they had removed it for some reason, with the result that all the water would fall out when you take a bath, with the risk of slipping. When we mentioned our problem to the reception, they said they would call me to see what they could do, but they never called me, they simply ignored it and the problem was never solved. Due to the fact that we were in the room in the morning, they didn't clean it because they didn't have time when we were at the buffet and they told us they would clean it in the afternoon and they never cleaned it. This happened 3 days out of the 5 that we stayed. The buffet was poor and they always missed a lot of things and you had to ask for them and they brought them after quite some time. I remember one day in particular where when I went to the buffet there wasn't even a slice of bread, there wasn't anything and no, I didn't go 10 or 20 minutes before the buffet closed, I went always at least an hour before (the buffet didn't even have chocolate pralin so you can understand how poor it was) I ALSO FOUND MOLD INSIDE THE BUTTER

I can hardly put into words how grateful I am for your help and hospitality. As I lay on the squeaky sofa that first night, I was sure it was going to be the worst holiday ever. But thanks to your generosity and hospitality, it turned out to be one of the best. Aris, your name should better be Xenios, the god of hospitality in Greek mythology. I will always remember your extraordinary helpfulness. Irini, goddess of peace, you really calmed me down when I came to the reception after a night without sleep. I didn't believe you when you said you would sort things out to my satisfaction. But you did it!

My husband and I visited this hotel last week and were deeply disappointed. We came back to this hotel based on my stay last year which was a totally different . First impression was it was a lovely room, on closer inspection there was no seat on the toilet, the bath tub had a fungal stain, which I initially thought was bird poo, fortunately it washed away. Some of the electrical sockets were loose. The fridge had seen better days but thankfully still worked. The kettle in our room stopped working, we were given a replacement which also faulted, but when asked yet again for a replacement we were told they had no more kettles, this was our 3rd day. The pool area was not as advertised or as it had been last year, there were only 4 double sun loungers. The restaurant menu had also been greatly reduced and not to the previous years standards. The staff in the restaurant and reception were not approachable or helpful, a totally different vibe to this hotel this year. I would not go back there, deeply disappointed

Superlative From the amazing location - we could see the sea on both sides of the island from our room - to the super delicious breakfast - wonderful infinity pool - to the super helpful friendly staff behind the reception desk, in the dining room and cleaning our room THANK YOU Orrizontes

Dirty rooms, especially bathroom - eventhough we asked twice to clean it, it wasn‘t much cleaner afterwards. We booked the highest category with sea view and private pool, and this is not what you expect. Pictures are showing it. Breakfast everyday exactly the same. But the Staff was really nice!
