Aspro Phos Santorini Hotel

First impressions when you arrive are not good as there are old scrap cars in the car park on one side . When in the hotel it’s better ,nice views of the surrounding mountains . A reasonable size pool that is kept immaculate . The rooms are basic (typical of a small Greek hotel ) but quite large .Freshly painted white . Fresh towels every day and the room was kept very clean . Breakfast is fairly basic ,nice coffee and a selection of cakes ,cheese ham ,eggs ,fruit . A 15 min easy walk to a lovely beach with lots of good restaurants and bars . Quite a few restaurants and bars a 5 min walk on the main road . Staff were excellent extremely helpful and friendly . There are some up market hotels nearer the beach but double to four times the price we paid . We enjoyed our stay here and thought it was good value for money .

First impressions were dire because as you enter the carpark in front of the hotel there are several scrap cars. Then immediately next door to the hotel there was a massive rubbish dump/scrapyard. Lesson learnt - always check out Google earth! The photo taken was back in 2016, so the present day rubbish tip is massive. I suspect despite being separated from it by a wall, the smell will be awful in the Summer. You could also see it from where you had breakfast. Staff are friendly and try to be helpful. Hotel small and peaceful. Hotel appeared to be struggling - restaurant not yet opened, various maintenance issues, ragged towels yet it's a 4-star, no spare wine glasses, problem with coffee pod supplies and tissues.... The website needs to state when they are open as we tried to contact them before our holiday many times via email and phone, so we thought we had been scammed. I discovered that this is one of 8 hotels run by the same company, so be careful!

Our stay at Aspro Phos was fantastic and we would return again. All members of the staff team were friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was comfortable and a decent size with tv, fridge, safe and air conditioning - a nice touch to have a robe and slippers! The bathroom was perhaps a little small with small shower space, but that was in no way a deal-breaker! Our room had its own wifi access point and wifi was available at the pool area too. Rooms were attended to daily by the cleaning team with fresh towels available daily too if requested. Breakfast was no frills but plentiful and regularly re-stocked - fresh bread, pastries, eggs, fruit, Greek yoghurt, honey, meats, cheese, olives, tomatoes etc. with tea, coffee (which was surprisingly excellent), juice and water. The pool area was superb - with towels available too. The hotel and pool didn’t have a bar as such, but a variety of drinks were available on request. We were also able to book a boat excursion with the team for a very reasonable price. The hotel is set back from the main road so quiet. A short walk takes you to the bus stop and not much further to the beach. Overall, we had a superb stay in a small, friendly Greek hotel that had a family-run feel to it! 🌟

Situé à côté d une décharge au milieu de nul part. Très domage. Personnel et accueil parfait. Rien à dire. Petit déjeuner médiocre. Pour une personne allergique au gluten impossible de manger quoi que ce soit. Heureusement qu'il y a un magasin à côté qui propose pleins d'aliments. Boisson. Décevante aussi. A part thé et café pas d'autre chose à disposition. Et ils faut se lever très tôt si on veut avoir encore qqch à manger. La chambre était bien et propre. Seule bémols la salle de bain. Eau sale pour se lavé et très très petite douche. Litterie ok. La piscine de l hôtel était très bien même avec les petits chats qui étaient par la autour. Il faut absolument avoir un véhicule pour bouger de la... sinon à 17 min à pied de la plage la plus proche.

Nul, vue sur le local ordure, sur l’arrière d’autres chambres avec leur clim, aucune luminosité dans la chambre puisque située dans une cour inférieure, tout pour plaire ! On a demandé à changer de chambre mais ça a été refusé. L’hôtel se trouve à côté d’un terrain vague avec des carcasses de voiture et autres tôles en tout genre Trou dans le mur de la salle de bain Seul point positif, pas loin du centre-ville À fuir !! Le petit déjeuner, le minimum mais rien de prévu pour un départ matinal contrairement à d’autres hôtels

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cet hôtel malgré quelques désagréments. Bon grâce à la gentillesse du personnel. Exceptionnel. L’emplacement est top, près de la plage et de la ville (10 à 15 minutes àpieds). Petit déjeuner simple et bon. Petite piscine agréable. Chambre confortable, ménage impeccable et bonne literie. Seul point noir : la salle de bain, trop exigüe, et probleme d’eau (pas d’eau lorsque trop de monde utilise la douche). Une voiture indispensable pour voyager tranquille. Nos reco : Oia et Fira bien sûr, pour sortir des sentiers battus : Megalohori, Astra Square. Les plages de Perissa (sable noir) et Akrotiri (sable rouge, attention chaleur et accès acrobatique). Coucher de soleil au phare d’Akrotiri pour éviter la foule d’Oia.
