Horquetas River Lodge

We stayed at Horquetas River Lodge for one night on our way to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. It is a secluded gem offering a retreat next to a beautiful river. With only two rooms, the lodge ensures a peaceful and private experience. The rooms are spacious and equipped with air conditioning, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The friendly staff adds to the charm of this place, always ready to prepare food upon request. For those who prefer to cook their own meals, there's a well-equipped kitchen available for guest use. One thing to note is that the road to the property can be challenging for low suspension cars. It's advisable to have a vehicle with some ground clearance, as the walk from the gate to the lodge can be quite a trek. Overall, Horquetas River Lodge offers a beautiful and serene escape with excellent amenities and a welcoming atmosphere.
