Good points: Staff lovely, and want to please. Good parking. Fab superking size bed. Prior to arrival: I needed a king-size bed, didn't need to be ground floor, but would prefer walk in shower as eight years ago had a hip replacement. I also said it was a surprise for my husband so no phone calls, however had a call the day before and my husband saw the name on my phone and it blew the surprise. Not so good: While the decor on reception and the pricy restaurant is lovely, the room we had was a let down. Room 7, which was shower over bath, desperately needs a lick of paint, it was drap and soulless. There were lovely room photos online so I felt overcharged for what we got. Breakfast: Only yoghurts left were toffee, and no information on where the food came from, locally or free range eggs etc. Just felt a bit cheap and Travel Lodge experience overall.

The room was really nice with loads of hot water, tea, coffee and milk! The staff were great too nothing was too much for them, just ask and it was done. The Christmas decs were going up and looked wonderful too! A nice atmosphere. The breakfast was really nice too, hot and delicious!

The Welsh Dragon and the Oriental Dragon come together and it worked for us…A Taste of the Far East .. both for its well prepared tastefully presented food and themed accommodation . certainly worth a try and no need to get on a long haul flight

Lovely receptionist, welcoming and helpful Great room, plenty of space , everything you need, basic toiletries provided Everyone I met was polite and caring I would definitely stay here again Good choice of menu Quiet location Didn't have time to explore the area but maybe on my next stay

I honestly can not praise this hotel enough. From the time we stepped through the door to the time we left all of the staff couldn't do enough for us. Our room was absolutely amazing so clean with everything that we needed for a birthday stay. Warm, cosy, clean, spacious and a lovely comfy bed. The restaurant was to die for, food was amazing and the staff were so attentive. We will definitely be coming back after Christmas.

Our first visit to the Imperial Dragon My wife and i Stayed 3 nights very enjoyable staff very friendly, breakfast excellent. Parking easy staff even help with luggage to the bedrooms. The effort is there from the staff to make your stay as enjoyable as possible Very enjoyable look forward to seeing you all again in the new year.

Just headed back from a 2 night break with my partner. We stayed in the china room, it was so clean, comfortable and spacious. Food was absolutely delicious and reasonable price Breakfast was also great, plenty on the menu to choose from aswel as the continental. The staff was amazing, nothing was to much trouble, sue even made me a coffee to take out ready for the journey home. Everything was service with a smile so if your looking for 5 star treatment then the imperial dragon is the place to go Will definitely return

Fantastic service. I have to call out Sue. She was brilliant, and such an ambassador for the hotel. Credit to the owners for the experience they have created. All of the staff were so helpful and attentive. Great location, and lovely clean rooms. We will be going back again

We had a lively stay, the Japan room was beautiful and calm, and we even got a peak of the dark and moody Thai room. Our meal was fantastic at Lokkys, we dined for 2.5 hours and enjoyed 3 courses. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, the service and experience from start to finish was amazing. Thank you
