"I was given the room key for an occupied room, the room I received was not cleaned thoroughly . My 4 year old found half full water bottle by the bed, there was no hand soap we made due with the body wash in the shower and the toilet ran all night. The room I originally received a room key for about 2 hours later another person was given the same occupied room. The poor people in room 310, I am sure they were more than annoyed. The breakfast was ok. The front staff were very nice. I have deft had better stays, but it was not a disaster."

"Was told upon check-in that they don't clean rooms daily, but they would be cleaning our on day three unless we requested additional. On three we confirmed cleaning with the reception. Upon arriving mid afternoon was not clean we again ask at the front desk and were told it would happen that day. We left came back in the early evening. Room was not clean calm down housekeeping. Staff had already left for the day and we could not have our room clean trash cans were overflowing no clean towels No tissues, almost out of toilet paper. Was told they could put us on the list for tomorrow, but that was not guaranteed either. We requested them to bring a supplies like towels, tissues, toilet paper and we're told they would. After about two hours, we still did not have anything I had to go down to the lobby to get them ourselves. The staff at the front desk can answer no questions about the area food tours parking nothing. The location was not quite as described as it was a bit further from River Street then they let on. There is no parking unless you pay valet or in one of the public parking garages. The restaurant bare minimal as far as food, only a couple items and limited hours of operation One elevator went down and instead of posting a out of service on each floor they posted it inside the elevator and on the first floor on a tiny Post-it note"

"This hotel has the most friendliest staff. I love the rooms and the French doors in the King suite. The happy hour, along with wine samples, is a great touch! There's only two things that I would like to change,. Since your hotel is pet friendly, please keep the guest with pets on the first floor where they have better access to outdoor. No pets should be allowed around the dining area, or where food is served. This location is idea for getting to restaurants and shopping."

"Beautiful, clean hotel in the middle of everything. You can walk to so many places! Very nice staff. The rooms are minimalist but clean. They were pretty well soundproofed, so there was not a lot of extraneous noise. The beds are extremely comfortable. They have a mattress pad on them that has enough fluff to make you feel like you are sleeping in a little nest. The mattresses are encased in a dustmite proof cover. The blankets are so comfortable. They don't feel too heavy, but they keep you warm without overheating you. As a matter of fact, I will be getting several of them from my own home. I was surprised they were microfiber because they felt like down the furnishings are modern and high-quality. In a king-size regular room, they were able to fit in a reading chair, a circular table with a velvet chair., a vinyl bench, and a large shelf. The parking is right on the corner and very convenient. We loved the little breakfast and lunch restaurant along with the coffee bar. Prices at the restaurant were not inexpensive, but not crazy and fair for the area. We loved breakfast. The Greek yogurt with berries and granola was a family favorite. The green goddess bowl was also delicious. Ironically, we found the coffee to be pretty bitter, but we loved the fact that it comes in a glass carafe and you can get two large cupfulls. Suggestions would be to allow for some individualization of smoothies, especially for low-carb people who don't want to have bananas. Also, it closes at three, and four would be much better. Also, why not keep the coffee bar open all day and night? They have so many excellent offerings, including smoothies, lattes, matcha drinks and turmeric drinks. We had a wonderful experience for our three nights. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you!"

"The room was a great size. Had a seperate couch/tv desk viewing area and a private back bedroom. The only concern was clear mildew/mold issues that went unchecked for what I assume weeks or months. I asked to swap rooms and was promptly switched to another room. Better, but still not completely mold free. It’s a humid environment, but I wouldn’t even sleep in my own house if it got that bad. I don’t know if the hotel will make changes but clearly look out for mold in your room if you stay here"

"Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District Review Stepping into the Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District, I was immediately enveloped by a strong sense of vintage charm. It's clear this is an older hotel with a history. While the facilities aren't cutting-edge, they are exceptionally well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay without any of the dilapidation you sometimes find in older establishments. Dining was perfectly adequate. The breakfast selection met basic needs; the taste wasn't amazing, but there were no major complaints. A notable point is that a staff member supervised the breakfast area to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Their dedication to guest comfort was evident, though their communication style felt a bit stiff, lacking a certain warmth, which was a minor disappointment. The location is definitely a major highlight of this hotel, making it an excellent base for exploring Savannah's Historic District! You can walk to all 22 of the historic squares, making leisurely strolls to soak in Savannah's charm and vintage atmosphere absolutely perfect. It's also very close to the 'Forrest Gump' cultural museum, which is super convenient for a nostalgic visit. Just like the classic line from 'Forrest Gump', 'Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get,' choosing different hotels during travel is always an unknown surprise. This stay at the vintage-feeling Hampton Inn had its satisfactions and small regrets, but it ultimately became a unique memory of this Savannah trip. P.S.: Overnight parking costs $35! Absolutely outrageous!"
