Come December, I plan for my year-end trip. Usually, I'd hit the hills just to enjoy the winter at its best. However, this time was different. I chose to go to Ranthambore for the jungle Safari and to click those big cats there. Unfortunately, when I reached Sawai Madhopur, I was told that the Safari is booked till the 31st of December. Obviously, I didn't plan it well in advance. But in the process, I discovered this newly opened Sterling property called Bagh Ranthambore. It was a beautiful up-and-coming resort, bang in the middle of Ranthambore. The staff was courteous, the chef was brilliant and the management was forthcoming. Rooms were spacious, surroundings were plush and the facility was a fusion of traditional Rajasthani architecture and modern decor. The resort also had arranged something called hi-tea in the evening with a bunch of folk artists belting out traditional numbers. But for me, the highlight was the food. The breakfast was a scrumptious buffet with juices, bakery, eggs-to-order, and a mix of Indian and continental cuisine. However, Laal Maas, a local Rajasthani delicacy that I ordered for dinner, stole the show. The meat was falling off the bone soft, and the spices were balanced and not too overwhelming. If Ranthambore is on your bucket list, do try Sterling Bagh, Ranthambore. #travel #travelgram #travelblog #holidays #foodie #foodstagram #rajasthan #indiantravelgram #weekendvibes #roadtrip
