Crown Spa Hotel Scarborough by Compass Hospitality recensioner

Very impolite staff felt like they didn't trust us the room and bathroom were dirty and I payed extra £100 for a sea view that was spoilt by bird muckno breakfast at 9am and when it came out bacon and sausage was raw definitely not a 4 star luxury couldn't complain as manager doesn't work weekends would defo not return

The room was satisfactory— not too big, but certainly larger than those found in chain hotels. The location was lovely; however, the standard room we received had a view of the parking lot. Due to the wooden floors, we were able to hear other guests walking around quite easily. The sauna and steam facilities were enjoyable, but it would have been great to have a bit more menthol or some options to help eliminate the smell of sweat. Thank you for your attention to these details.

Great hotel stayed many of times and definitely will be going back breakfast was really nice internet was good but not for people who want to go into the town or down the sea front it’s very hilly

Beautiful hotel to stay in right next to the beach just a short walk away Room was big and spacious with a view nice one although not a sea view the bathroom was just lush shower was lovely to use Only problem not knowing how to use the heating in the room The pool and hot tub was really quite and relaxing Breakfast service was fast and fresh Lovely experience all round

Great place to stay in Scarborough. Loved the service. Beer anf lemonade was amazing.

Sadly had three rooms due to some issues reguardless how clean they were and a smell coming from the bathroom, third room was ok and had a nice view over looking the sea and Scarborough harbour, pool and spa a nice touch and the staff were all friendly plenty of choice on the menu for food, just needs to address a few issues to make this worthy of it's 4 star rating and that to me should be considered luxury where as this felt more just above average but not luxury 3.5 / 5 location amazing staff amazing let down by the fire alarm going off which steam was to blame air vents were dirty this needs looking at, house keeping need to work more alongside maintenance to ensure issues are addressed. Safe in second room was broken but maintenance did sort this and were very friendly, reception and spa staff all excellent, can't comment on the food but had plenty of choice and had we not made plans we would of considered the curry night the hotel had on. Over all 3.5 / 5

The hotel itself was lovely! Unfortunately when we arrived and got into our bedroom around 11pm a member of staff was banging on the door demanding to be in, not once but twice. Which definitely ruined our stay, they’d apparently been a leak? There was also what looked like chewing gum in the sink? Apart from that the hotel was nice, the corridors & bar were clean & the front of house staff were lovely

Very Friendly staff ,very overpriced rooms in need of a thorough clean ,not what I was expecting for the price. We stayed for one night at a cost of £285 (breakfast not included) we were refused breakfast in the morning as they where to busy , the restaurant must have only been half full ,we couldn’t believe it so we eat in a cafe around the corner from the hotel 👎🏿
