Kakamas Hotel

I stayed at this establishment over the Easter weekend while visiting Augrabies Falls National Park. I spent two nights there. The room was clean and spacious, equipped with a bar fridge, selected DStv channels, and a large bathroom that included an outdoor shower. I did not make use of the on-site restaurant, as the meals were quite expensive compared to several other hotels and local restaurants. Instead, I opted for KFC. The breakfast provided was basic but sufficient. On the first evening, I had four Chinese nationals in the neighboring room. Unfortunately, they were smoking excessively and were quite loud. As a result, I chose to have my dinner and wine next to the dam on the premises instead of staying in the room. This experience suggests that with the wrong neighbors, noise could be an issue. Overall, this accommodation is a good option for a stopover if you're traveling long distances although I feel you might get better options at a better rate per night.

The service was excellent. The food even better. The food took a bit of time but it was freshly made and worth the wait. Ask for food that is not on the menu. The restaurant was neat and clean. You will not be disappointed. I shall eat there again in the near future.
