Casa Dell'Aromatario b&b

Casa Dell Aromatario is modern, light-filled, beautifully decorated with plants and has all the right touches. It appears that no expense was spared in constructing the B&B from an ancient church property. The room where you take breakfast has been carved out of rock and is an architectural beauty. Although it was too chilly to take advantage of the rooftop terrace it looks perfect for late afternoon drinks or just lounging and taking in the view. But what makes this place really special are the hosts, Silvio and his brother Carmelo. They are the most accommodating and helpful hosts with restaurant recommendations and other information and will do anything to make your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Loved it Lovingly restored old villa hotel with sparkling clean and new modern finishes. Carmelo and Silvio are brothers who are passionate about their property and its history. Our room was large and had views of the old church next door and across the rooftops to the sea. We had access to two terraces with seating, one sunny and one shady. Breakfast was excellent with many fresh choices and local specialties. We were given a tour of the ancient rooms in the basement and also the lovely herb garden with many unusual plants. All of the sights of Sciacca are within easy walking distance, as are many restaurants. We hope to return one day!

We loved our stay here, primarily due to the kindness and attention of the owners, brothers Silvio and Carmelo. Upon arrival, Silvio accompanied my husband to find parking, setting the stage for a pleasant stay. He subsequently arranged a tuk tuk tour for us, gave us a tour of the inn and explained its history (which was most interesting given that the building was originally a grain repository), and upon departure insisted on carrying our bags to our parked car and stopping traffic to help us get on the road. Carmelo was equally gracious, giving me a detailed tour of his herb garden and explaining the virtues of each plant. Nothing seemed to be too much for them to do to make our stay pleasant. Breakfast was varied and plentiful in what had originally been the grain repository. Silvio even noticed that my husband ate the packaged croissants at breakfast and the next morning showed up with two freshly baked croissants from a nearby bakery. The room was nicely appointed and extremely clean and there were some nice seating areas outside the rooms where you could enjoy the fresh air or dry out your laundry. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sciacca, which is a very pleasant seaside town. However, what made our stay special were the exceptional and caring owners of this property. I highly recommend this B&B for future stays.
