Hampton Inn & Suites Scottsboro

This hotel is perfectly located in Scottsboro with anything and everything you need right around the hotel. First impression from the outside was just how clean it looks. It just got better from there. A lovely young lady named Cynthia checked me in and she could not have been more pleasant and nice. A warm and welcoming smile and made the entire check in process quite easy. She made me feel right at home. Arriving at my room it was clean, spacious and had everything I needed. Even the restroom area felt very spacious. I am here visiting family and will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

This is the most excellent Hampton Inn at which I have ever stayed. The staff (especially the exceptionally helpful and kind Kaitlen), the room, and the breakfast were all outstanding! I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone and will return when my travels take me to Scottsboro!

Reserved room way in advance for accommodations but they did not honor my need for accommodations. And she said I can't help it. I had to wait forever for her to find me a room and there was not many people there in that hotel. Half the food on the breakfast bar was missing and she said they sold out of waffles. There was not syrup, not batter, nor hot waffle irons they never had waffles that morning. That area was spotless and there was no one working in the kitchen area and every table was dirty so I know they had no waffles. I was there at 8 am. Most of the crowd came at 9 am or later to eat. They were all from the wedding celebration the night before. I did not sleep bed was hard as a rock and no blanket. Just Duvet that weighed 10 pounds. it was so heavy you could not move. It was like one of those weighted blankets. So sleep with sheet and freeze or weighted duvet and not be able to move. I have never had a bad experience at a Hampton or a Hilton so was so shocked.

Rooms 302, 304, and 305 had confirmed bedbugs in the rooms this week. Stayed with a group and the rest of us were fine (1st, 2nd, 4th floors on opposite end of hotel). While my room seemed clean, the carpet was very old and starting to get ripped up. My neighbor's room was pretty unclean; after she requested her room to be cleaned multiple times, they finally did so after the 4th request. I don't think they have the appropriate staffing to keep the hotel sufficiently clean right now, much less properly treat for bedbugs.

The staff here was excellent. The location is a bit difficult to get to. Our room was in need of a good cleaning, both in the shower (mildew) and the room. The breakfast was excellent and the attendant was very kind and friendly. Our room was quiet from both inside noise and outside noise.

First trip to Scottsboro - great hotel! Excellent service and rooms. Walmart is walkable - right next door separated by a grassy knoll. Ruby Tuesday is close by and the most versatile restaurant in the area. However, Payne's Sandwich Shop is a must for lunch! The shakes/malts are incredible. The staff at this hotel are so helpful! They recommended shopping and hiking options that turned out to be really good. A great experience.

Stayed here a weekend in July. The room was a Pretty standard older room. No issues though. What made this a 5* was the breakfast and a lady that worked in the breakfast area named Tammy. She was awesome, we weren’t with our kids but watching her interact with the kids there and she gave each of them a prize out of the treasure chest. It was great to see an employee that seemed to enjoy their job and wanted the others around her to be happy as well.

We stayed for one night on our way to visit with family at the beach. I am glad we chose this location. The staff is excellent. The young lady at the front desk was very warm and inviting as she welcomed us. Our room was sparkling clean. The hotel is well maintained and near stores and restaurants if you need anything.

Everything was topnotch at this hotel! Staff was friendly, rooms were big, and comfortable beds. Shower was huge! TV and reception was great. Great breakfast and a big eating area. Convenient area to shop and plenty of eating places in walking distance. We only stayed one night as it was a quick weekend getaway. I highly recommend this place to stay if you are in the area!
