had good service when i went for a meal and drink room good clean able to get too easy enough reception lovely lady able to help out so much

Pretty basic room. Cleanliness could be better. The carpet is still dirty, and the housekeepers need to be more thorough. Dust on the bed headboard and side tables.

I have stay at the Links hotel quite often without any issues, but this time was different. I booked through a booking website for 2 adults and 3 children, for 2 nights. First night was ok, came back 2nd day after going out for a while, aircon had been turned off, cleaners came in when we asked them not to, made 2 beds and left the double bed, didn’t clean anything at all and only left 2 towels. When I questioned the receptionist she said I only booked for 2 people for the 2nd night. And she was quite rude , yet I had confirmation on my phone otherwise. The booking company sent thru only 2 people for 2nd night. They got it wrong and I had no apology from her or any explanation of why the room was “cleaned “ like that . I’m not happy about it and doubt I’ll stay there again! 😡

The room was riddled with carpet beetles. As I have a severe allergy to these, I was up all night in the shower trying to calm the itching, swelling and swollen eyes. First thing in the morning. I packed our belongings and left. Without staying the following night. I called the hotel not long after I left and explained the situation. They were not willing to give a refund for either of the nights booked, even though it's stated on the app, and I left first thing in the morning. Rude staff on the phone too.

The check-in was with Steve, a friendly man, and was very speedy. I've stayed at Links quite a few times and have always been happy. The amenities are great. The rooms I've stayed in are quiet. The only downfall this time (stayed in this room for the first time) was the bed was too soft for me. Will book again.
