Hotel Zum Gourmet

The first impression of this hotel is the friendliness of the staff. Everyone is smiling and very willing to help. The room we had chosen was cosy clean and well laid out, although slightly dated. It would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom was nice and modern. There was English television to watch in the evenings when we didn't feel like going out which was a nice thing to have. The food is amazing! We stayed over the Christmas period and there was a lot of festive cheer on Christmas Eve. There was singing and the Christmas story around the Christmas tree before we went in to dinner which was lovely. Christina the owner of the hotel gave each lady a small Christmas gift which was a really nice touch. We were treated to a 7 course meal on Christmas Eve and every course was absolutely delicious. On other evenings we were given a five course meal if we chose to have everything on offer. The Chef( Christina's husband Mario) had also prepared a three course meal for people watching their weight. Christina really knows the wines to have with each meal. She has a wealth of knowledge of the wines of the region and country. There really is no shortage of good quality and beautifully prepared food and wine to delight the guests. This is also true of the breakfasts. There really is an amazing range of food to choose from at breakfast. No need to go hungry! My husband used the sauna regularly. He really enjoyed the surroundings and peace and quiet. Christina and Mario, have worked very hard to make sure the guests have everything they need at their hotel. We would very much like to visit again in the future.

Hotel Zum Gourmet is a superb 4 star hotel. Our room with a balcony was spacious and the view of the mountains was lovely. As two male friends sharing, the comfy sofa bed in the room worked well (although we did need assistance to open it properly🙄). The food at this hotel is the best I’ve had for an hotel of this category and the all inclusive includes a good range of wines, beers and spirits and included some cocktails such as aperol (gourmet) spritz. The hotel is positioned on the outskirts of town so it is a bit of a walk with kit to the ski buses. We discovered the heated lockers at the main slope which was a game changer as we left skis, boots, helmets and gloves there and they were lovely and dry each morning and it was great not having to carry them. A family locker will take kit for 4 people. We went back each day for the lunch which included salad and a hot option such as mac and cheese, pizza or chicken and chips. At around 4pm you can also have delicious cakes. The common areas are beautifully decorated and have really comfy armchairs. We used the relaxation area each afternoon where there is a steam room and a couple of saunas with plenty of loungers. Reception will provide robes and slippers and towels are just outside the room. The staff were amazing, every single one of them and made our stay even more special. I rate it so highly I have already booked my stay there next year.

Just returned from having my daughters wedding at this hotel and cannot praise the owners enough , they helped to make this special time even more wonderfull than we could have imagined. There were 15 in our party ages ranging from 22 - 73 and all the rooms we were allocated were lovely especially the ones with balconies and of course the Bridal suite , which on the wedding night they filled with roses and rose petals were strewn around a very romantic touch. The hotel itself is in an ideal position about 10 mins walk to the town which I must say is like something out of a fairy tale. Gabby and her daughter Christina treated us like family and arranged everything for us from the photographer to the sleigh trip to the Rathaus and even the florist,they also filmed the wedding reception and gave us a cd of photographs they had taken from various times of the day, nothing was too much trouble and we have all decided to return for the 1st anniversary next year.It really was a most memorable weeks stay.

Hotel was very good, nice traditional, nott too big so not impersonal, room (109) great & quiet with nice view, always cleaned to very good standard, great setting, food amazing (keep your chef!) breakfasts plentiful & dinners the meat so tender, we liked afternoon tea laid on each day, staff v friendly/helpful esp lady on reception in morning (dark hair) & pet friendly so met lots of lovely dogs.

A big thank you to Katarina, Suzi, Nicol and the other kind and hard working team for providing us with another fabulous holiday. Chefs in the kitchen are never seen by guests but also deserve special mention owing to the varied menu and great choices on offer. And having 4 choices of top quality white and 4 choices of top quality red wine available as part of the all inclusive package was superb. Hope to see you all again soon.

Hotel Zum Gourmet is located in Seefeld in Tirol at 0,8 km of the railway-station. The hotel is family owned and managed with in Seefeld 2 other hotels, 2 apartment accommodations and 2 restaurants. Built in 1976, and partly renovated in 2021, hotel Zum Gourmet has 46 rooms over 3 floors, and offers all-inclusive arrangements. The hotel is practical and pleasant. Free station-shuttle, Wi-Fi, sauna & fitness and parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Our spacious room was adequately furnished and decorated in 19-seventies style, with a good double bed, a bench that can be turned into an extra double bed, TV, desk & chair, wardrobe & safe, and a sunny balcony with table & chairs. We had a separate bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower. All was clean. The all-inclusive arrangement comprises: breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee, and dinner. The buffet breakfast is good: bread & toast, ham & cheese, eggs made to order, butter & marmalade, croissants & pastries, fruit & orange juice, cereals, milk, tea & coffee. Dinner is 5-course with salad buffet, a choice of 3 starters, a choice of 3 main-courses, dessert, cheese buffet and include apéritif, wine & digestif. We found hotel Zum Gourmet pleasant & comfortable and we had a good stay. Highly recommended.
