Hampton Inn Selma

i thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at Hampton in Selma, Alabama. The staff was extremely cordial, helpful and professional. The environment felt welcoming and safe. The facilities were clean. The morning breakfast was plentiful with a variety of choices. I will book this hotel when I return to visit family and friends.

Hotel has bed bugs!! Stay at your own risk!! My husband and I stayed there last weekend and we were put in a room that had bed bugs on the mattress, pillows and side table. We could visibly see the bugs. We were put in another room but didn’t get any sleep because we didn't know if it had bed bugs too. I have spent all week disinfecting our clothing and other things. We still don’t know if we have brought bed bugs back to our house. I tried to get the GM by phone to discuss it but did not get a response. Asked for a refund for our room, got no response. Stay at your own risk!!

Stayed at Hampton Inn for a family visit. Checked in a little early , staff was friendly but couldn't get keys to work . Shower door was off track so water leaked on floor , wife has a walking issue and was quite slippery. Pool was closed although was inside .. made no sense ..2nd one closed at a Hampton..Stockbridge Georgia was also closed . Breakfast left a lot to be desired..basic carb cram Breakfast. Next time may try Holiday Inn at top of hill

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this brand new Hampton Inn location...Elizabeth at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming, we enjoyed having conversation with her, Nora at the breakfast was helpful and kind and friendly, helped Mrs Novack get set for breakfast (she walks slowly with a cane)...we are looking forward to staying again, next time we drive to SOCAL...I was equally pleased with every staff member I came in contact with, all very warm, welcoming, and helpful, and attentive to our needs. Thanks for having a great staff, and a great place to stay...the room was nicely designed, very clean, and bedding was quite comfortable, and nice and fresh, as advertised.

Overall, the stay was decent. Much, much better than the HOLIDAY Inn right behind this hotel. I was a little skeptical when I saw the renovation sign at the check -in desk because I knew they had been working on this hotel for a while, but the room was nice. No issues at all and CLEAN, the bathtub had a little debris but nothing major. I was not expecting breakfast since it was a holiday weekend but too our surprise that was served. Definitely RECOMMEND this hotel before you even head toward HOLIDAY INN since I am told they now have long term tenants that occupy the 1st floor....smh & that hotel is not the cleanest!!! The front desk agents were nice and helpful. Easy to check-in and out!

Under construction phone didnt work , pool was down because of the contruction TV remote didnt work. and paid more than i ever have and i have stayed there several times. Iwas told the price hike was because of the construction. I dont think you should take away the amenities and then charge more, wait until you finish construction and have a WOW factor

Had issues with check in, the cleanliness of room when I finally got checked in, poor customer service and plumbing issue that was not resolved. This hotel is being renovated but the staff needs to be retrained and little more polished.

This hotel may be rated number 1 but…. They are in the middle of remodeling and really aren’t ready for guest. Entire lobby area was a disaster and I understand tha the third floor is not available. Holiday inn express across the parking lot is a better choice

Besides housekeeping being nonexistent, trash removal had to be requested each day. The complimentary breakfast was the saddest experience of our stay, we ate breakfast elsewhere. Our overall stay was pleasant!
