Hotel Somont

I absolutely loved my stay at the property! The property itself was beautiful and charming. The location was perfect, close to town and amenities and easily accessible for all of the areas I wanted to visit, yet nestled in a peaceful area. The room was incredibly comfortable, and well equipped. Everything was spotless, and I could tell that cleanliness was a top priority. The amenities were good especially the breakfast options, which added so much value to my stay. But what really stood out was the exceptional service—the staff were so friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Following issues with a delayed flight and travel to the hotel, we were helped immensely by the most kind and lovely host/staff member, who couldn’t have helped us more and accommodated our late/early morning arrival; which we were extremely grateful for. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting, making my experience truly unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back and highly recommend.

We stayed here for a week on a skiing vacation. The hotel is truly a ski in - ski out hotel, which was a great upside. There is a direct access from the piste to the hotel’s up-to-date skiroom via an elevator. We also appreciated very good cleaning service of our spacious room. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good with delicious offering. Altogether a recommendable skiing hotel. Timo and Tiina

Excellent hotel and wonderful food! Highly recommend. All staff so helpful and friendly, they made our holiday so much more enjoyable. The restaurant staff were lovely and attentive - thank you for making our first trip to the Dolomites a memorable one! Thank you too Rosie for your help, advice and attention to detail on our sightseeing trips, it proved invaluable and made all the difference. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Somont on our week long hiking trip. Our room was beautiful, the amenities were fantastic, and the views cannot be beat. The staff, in particular Rosie, went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We would love to stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Amazing experience!

We had a wonderful week, the skiers and the grandparents baby sitting . It is a ski in ski out, and the children came out of the elevator put their skis on and off they went to the champinoi gondola down the road. They both loved the skiing. The hotel rooms were big (upgraded rooms) very clean, nice white bedding , good bathroom with a great view of the gondola going up and down. Bath robes and good quality slippers ideal for the swimming pool. The swimming pool is warm, at a perfect temperature. It is very unpleasant when swimming pools are freezing. Nice jacuzzi and sauna. Breakfast is excellent and so is supper . You choose your menu at breakfast time. Lorena and her team work hard and everything runs like clockwork. The young lad (Spanish speaking) was very helpful with the weighing of our 8 suitcases to comply withTitan’s allowance. The ski school for kids is not very near the hotel . You would need to organize transfer if you do not have a car. Finally, we would come back in a heartbeat, just a perfect skiing place. Per Lorena e le ragazze un bacino e un buon giorno da Maxi. Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel a Selva di Valgardena per 4 notti perché non abbiamo trovato posto nei nostri alberghi del “cuore” a Selva e Ortisei dove andiamo da molti anni.L’hotel è una bella struttura dietro una pista da sci, ma molte cose indispongono nella gestione criticabile in molti aspetti già a primo impatto..la distanza con il cliente.Prima di tutto non è un 4 stelle, al massimo ne meriterebbe 3. La stanza manca di un boiler con le capsule e bustine di te, nel bagno, molto datato manca un kit di benvenuto, il phon è modello anni 80 con una sola velocità senza possibilità di avete aria fredda e manca la fascetta di sanificazione.Stanza discreta con un frigo bar vuoto e neanche una bottiglia d’acqua all’arrivo che in un “vero 4 stelle” vengono rifornite quotidianamente. Il cibo pessimo…Questo è da UNA STELLA. La colazione povera, con prodotti ripetitivi e di qualità mediocre, nessun prodotto del territorio tranne le fette di speck. Non c’era alcun formaggio tipico tirolese tranne uno tagliato a forma di rettangolini microscopici, che sparivano subito,c’erano invece emmental e provola abbondanti…dal sapore che non descrivo. Cappuccino sempre freddo ed annacquato come l’espresso imbevibile. Abbiamo scelto la sistemazione in mezza pensione,scelta infelice, soldi buttati,In poche parole in hotel non esiste da parte dei proprietari il senso di ospitalità che abbiamo notato in altre strutture ricettive della Val Gardena dove siamo sempre coccolati e ci sentiamo a nostro agio in tutto con merende, te e spuntini pomeridiani e cibo divinamente buono.Qui non sembra di essere in Valgardena,la filosofia dei proprietari è esclusivamente volta al RISPARMIO IN TUTTO. L’hotel NON dispone di una navetta che conduce agli impianti di risalita di cui sono dotate tutte le altre strutture di Selva e Ortisei dove abbiamo soggiornato negli anni. Nella recensione allego le foto dei piatti, che danno un esempio di quello che (NON ABBIAMO MANGIATO) che come si può ben vedere presentavano delle porzioni a dir poco ridicole,meno che pediatriche e molti di essi erano immangiabili. Una sera,sembra una barzelletta, chiedendo del parmigiano per un piatto mignon lontano parente dei veri spiätzle, la cameriera ne versa un cucchiaino e porta via la formaggiera!!! I dessert…non sono degni di essere chiamati tali per porzione e tipologia..Una sera c’era una pallina microscopica di gelato sciolta che mi sono rifiutare di mangiare perché era un affronto alla decenza. Gli antipasti..inesistenti, se si arrivava dopo le 20:30 i pochi vassioi presenti rimanevano vuoti.Fortunatamente conoscendo i ristoranti a Selva e Ortisei abbiamo mangiato divinamente a pranzo e gustato degli squisiti strudel e Sacher.Se volete fare una vacanza a Selva all’insegna della serenità e cordialità e volete sentirvi rispettati andate altrove, per quattro giorni ho speso 1.750 € che sono troppi per i (servizi) che non (offre) la struttura e per la mancanza di ospitalità,freddezza e mancanza di risp
