The Island Blue Hotel recensioner

Love the space! Very convenient location, walking distance to the night market. Front desk are professional and friendly. The hotel provides weird towel. It's supposed to be a disposable ones but it couldn't absorb a single drop of water. Everything else was good, except for the rude worker at the car park. He's angry when I said I don't understand his instructions in Korean.

Even though the room was spacious and overall the location was convenient for daily trips, the service leaves to desire more. We would appreciate a bit more if the front desk staff didn't just reply with "I don't know" to our questions. I understand there might be a language barrier and we tried our best to use Korean or Google translate to simplify the communication, but we received very involved service. Hotel doesn't provide any shower towels, only face ones, so make sure you bring your own. There is also no additional items available on request (e.g. we booked for 5 people, but all the amenities were always set for 4, even when we requested an extra cup, the staff told us it wasn't possible).

The room is big and clean so comfortable

This hotel is excellent! Also it is very close to Korean traditional market , Chunjiyoun water falls and Seogwipo ferry. Moreover. It is a very big size room with ocean view.

Stayed there with family, room was big enough, cleaniness just average, fridge was still dirty, floor as well. Location is quite good, lots of restaurants and sights very near. We did not try the breakfast

For families: there is really nothing to do besides the paid massage chairs. It’s good distance from market and food options, breakfast was…ok. It’s a Self check in and staff is usually in the back room. But they are friendly and helpful when they are around. Family room accommodated the 4 of us, so good size. We stayed 4 nights and they cleaned the room, but they did not make our beds…very strange standard of housekeeping…

Easy check-in through self automated machine. Just key your confirmation number, and a room card will be issued to you. The room was spacious for 4 adults. The hotel was a short walk to the market and restaurants nearby.

The room is clean and very spacious. I enjoyed my stay there. I was there during winter and the hot shower was hot and nice. I would stay here again for my next visit to Jeju.

Standard hotel with no frills and food for families and ease.

Nicely located in city center

room was spacious, came w kitchen but no pots. they gave two bottles of plain water. we stayed on the 5th floor. the room was too hot there was no ventilation, if we turned off the heater the room gets very stuffy. we tried opening the windows to ventilage the room, but the room gets infested with huge mosquitos !!!! we had to wake up in the middle of the night to kill them as they kept trying to bite us. the hotel management definitely know of the issues with mosquitos as they provided some type of moquitos aerosol spray, i got almost 10 over bites on my hands. the toilet was bad as well, the tiles were uneven and it was bulging out so much that the glass door of the toilet cant close. the corridor of the toilet also had uneven tiles. the location of the hotel was at the bottom of the hill so u had to climb up if u wanted to go the seogwipo market. there was a outdoor parking for suv and underground parking for sedans. there was a gantry for the outdoor parking which causes a hassle as we had to contact the front desk when we came back, as tourist it is difficult for us to call them w our sim cards that only has data. if we couldnt call them through phone we had to go down to the front desk to call them everytime we came back. the mosquitos really gave us a scare that even though we booked the hotels for two nights we only stayed for one and had to book another hotel to stay another night.

No water supply at night time

The room is huge and spacious - we got the one with the ocean view and was allocated a room on the top floor - watching sunrise was splendid. Would have been perfect with a bathtub! The carpark was indoor and efficient, especially if you’re staying in winter - you don’t have to get up to a cold car. Location wise, it is an hour’s drive to the east and west of the island.

I love the self check-in since few Koreans working in hotels speak good English. It saves a lot of hassle n misunderstandings. I love the space in the hotel room. I love the great car park attendants - 2 guys doing a good job especially the big guy! 👍👍 The bathroom water handle n metal bar gets heated up and burned our hands - very dangerous. I love the kitchen with induction stove top but unfortunately no pots to boil ramen etc… no coffee or tea provided too.
