Homes Red Myeongdong

Location is great. Very close to subway station and airport bus stop. If early check in need to pay extra charges. Still got room to improve on the housekeeping side. The coffee cups inside the room are not washed and cleaned. If check out time can make it to 12:00noon will be more convenient to guest.

The hotel was new and easy to spot. It’s a basic no-frills hotel for budget conscious travellers. Take note it doesn’t come with tooth brush for environmental reasons. room was spacious enough for 2 pax and the toilet was long and spacious! The hotel is also close to exit 4 of chungmuro station. It’s just a short less than 10 mins walk from Myeongdong but less crowded. There’s lots of local food joints and restaurants at Euljiro area just opposite the hotel, definitely more well priced than Myeongdong and food was tasty good! It’s my current favourite hotel in Seoul!

Handy location to Airport limousine drop off (Hanok Village). Baggage storage available at reception for free with friendly service. Has a modern shared kitchen with great amenities and free ramen bar. Room is modern & tidy with view of Nam San Tower. One of the most spacious bathroom I have come across in South Korea! Wish I had stayed in this hotel longer while in Seoul. Walking distance to Myeongdong without the crowds.

As a solo traveler, this hotel requires no human interaction during whole check in and check out process. It takes around 10 min walk to Myeongdong, and it’s easy to get there nothing complicated. The amenities are pretty well equipped, they provide everything you need except for the tooth brush and toothpaste.

Had a lovely stay here. The hotel is relatively new so they’re still improving their facilities. it’s really worth with the price. They have shared kitchen on the 2nd floor so u can heat up your food there.  But I think they don’t have the washing machine facilities—yet. The location wise, if you’re planning to go Myeongdong area, you can take bus from the opposite direction. Is only 1 bus stop away. Or you can walk but it’ll take you around 15 minutes. If you planned to take taxi, will costs around 9000 - 10000 KRW.  3/4 stops away if you want to go to the Seoul Main Station from opposite direction as well. Limousine bus to airport is also on the opposite direction. All these bus stops are less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Literally opposite of the hotel. And if you’re planning to go to Namsan Tower and planning to take bus from the bus interchange, you can walk to the back side of the hotel building, it will take less than 10 minutes walk.

Great price and location just minutes from the subway (escalator & elevator on opposite side of the road if you have suitcases). Convenient automated check in, large ramen station, well-maintained building. Standard room is very small and poorly designed while the bathroom is relatively huge. Storage and closets open in a direction that makes them difficult to access, the entrance light sensor is so sensitive that if you move a toe while sleeping the light is activated. Curtains are not blackout and there is street noise even on the 11th floor. Beds are comfortable enough. For some reason the top floor “agit” breakfast area is not open to guests as a lounge/ waiting area. Perhaps an overall case of you-get-what-you-pay-for, but I would expect more from a relatively modern building in Myeongdong. Doable for a night, but I’d be willing to pay more for improved convenience and comfort elsewhere, especially longer term.
