Mamas & Papas Hongdae Guesthouse and Apartments, Seoul recensioner

the hostel is located on a party street, so it’s difficult to sleep, everyone is screaming until the morning. There is a kitchenette and an elevator, only 3 floors

Our flight arrived in mid night, this hostel location is great in the midst of town. In front hostel is walking street have many restaurants and shopping. Room's wall is thin can hear other guests talking and walking around. This is a back packers type hostel. Picture is from hostel common balcony

My friend and I recently spent two weeks at Mamas & Papas Hongdae Guesthouse and Apartments. While the location is fantastic close to vibrant cafes and shopping and the property is clean, our experience didn’t match what we saw online. The amenities were lacking; the promised breakfast was minimal and the Wi-Fi was often slow. Additionally, while the staff were friendly, they seemed stretched thin and were not always available to assist with issues such as my laundry and WiFi. Overall, Mamas & Papas has potential, but it fell short in service and amenities during our stay.

Amazing location for night life. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Could be cleaner and more organised.

Not particularly an ideal place to stay in but if you’re on a budget then go for it. The rooms are small and lack soundproofing. You share one bathroom at the floor you’re staying with everybody, which not everyone is the cleanest person… I saw a bloody pad in the wide open in the trash and I was very much disgusted. Anyways I think the staff are pretty nice and friendly at least.

I choose this hostel in Seoul. It’s amazing. I met lots of interesting friends here. The boss here is helpful and kind.

Great guesthouse. Stayed there for 5 nights and I think it’s the best place to experience Seoul better. The receptionist is super friendly and nice and the boss is very kind too. I’d definitely come back here again when I visit Seoul next time. Thanks to Mr Lee, Amy and Sabina.

Very good location and very easy and simple check in and check out process. The bathrooms are not the cleanest but better than a lot of hostels I’ve stayed at.

Amazing place for staying. Good location and they have kitchen

I booked a single room for consecutive 9 nights but on the arrival night, the staff told they somehow messed up the reservation and made me stay in a shared room of 6, promised me that I will get a refund of 20,000won which was the price gap between the single room and the shared room. This already creates somewhat negative feelings for me to this hostel, the next morning, I did get a refund but I needed to chase it by myself and the owner seemed very reluctant while giving back my money. I moved to a single room where it's not as big as stated in the website(it's said 6m2, but it was only half of the size actually). The bed was quite stiff that it sore my back a bit and there was always a small flood from the 4F restroom, the wall wasn't soundproof so you will hear every single sound from other rooms and it interrupted my sleep. I understand it's cheap and it located right in Hongdae, but the stay really wasn't so delightful.

One of the best experiences i had while staying in this hostel. It’s convenient you can find it easily while using google maps . Its in center position where you can find every kind of shop. The management staff is very humble and friendly . I suggest you all students out there its a best place to stay.

The location was good. Near the station and near the main road of hongdae. Check in went smoothly. Unfortunely the walls were very thin, and our room was right next to the kitchen where you can hear the people talking. There were not many towels. The room was freezing cold, and the blanket was pretty thin. It was said that the heater is new. The room didnt seem to be cleaned. The kitchen didnt look clean either. (its shared, can still get cleaned a little bit) Its good for a very short stay.
