Very pleasant hotel was impressed with the housekeeping outstanding services and the exceptional service provided by the front desk agent and GM of the hotel. When I realised I had left my cap behind, they immediately assisted me with genuine concern and efficiency. Within minutes, they located my item and ensured it was returned to me without any hassle. Their prompt response, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile reflect outstanding customer care and made me feel valued as a guest.

It’s a polished, efficient hotel that feels like a serene Japanese-inspired retreat amidst the exhilarating chaos of Myeongdong. --- **Location: (★★★★★)** Absolutely unbeatable. This is the hotel’s biggest selling point. * **Myeongdong Metro:** Exit 5 is literally a 30-second walk from the hotel's discreet side entrance. Line 4 (light blue) connects you directly to Dongdaemun, Seoul Station, and Myeongdong Station itself is a major hub. * **Shopping & Food:** You are in the epicenter of Myeongdong shopping street. Evening food stalls, countless restaurants, and every major beauty store are right at your doorstep. * **Accessibility:** A 10-15 minute walk gets you to the Namdaemun Market, and it's an easy taxi or subway ride to Insadong, Bukchon, and Ikseon-dong. **First Impression & Lobby: (★★★★☆)** The entrance is modern and understated—you could almost miss it if not for the discreet signage. Stepping inside, you’re greeted by a calming scent, sleek dark wood, and a sophisticated, quiet atmosphere. The check-in process was swift and conducted by wonderfully polite, multi-lingual staff. The lobby is small but beautiful, setting the tone for the entire stay. **The Room: (★★★★☆)** * **Design & Cleanliness:** The room embodied modern Japanese minimalism—clean lines, warm wood tones, and intelligent use of space. It was spotlessly clean. The amenities were high-quality, with lovely Japanese toiletries. * **Size:** As expected in a prime Seoul location, the room was compact but brilliantly designed. For a solo traveler or a couple with one large suitcase, it was perfectly comfortable. Two large suitcases might have felt a bit tight. The “smart bathroom” with its multi-function toilet and deep soak tub was a fantastic luxury in a small space. * **View & Noise:** We had a room facing the interior courtyard/other buildings, which was very quiet. Street-facing rooms might get some nighttime buzz from Myeongdong, but the double-glazed windows are excellent. * **Bed:** The bed was firm and very comfortable, with high-quality linens. **Amenities & Services: (★★★★☆)** * **Breakfast:** We tried the breakfast once. It’s a delightful mix of Korean, Japanese, and Western options in a beautiful, light-filled dining room. The quality was excellent (the miso soup and grilled fish were highlights), but it is on the pricier side. * **Facilities:** No pool or gym, which some might miss. However, the 2nd-floor lounge area is a lovely, quiet space to relax with complimentary tea and coffee. * **Service:** Impeccable. Staff were always helpful, from storing luggage before check-in to providing directions and calling taxis. The turndown service was a nice touch. **Value for Money: (★★★★☆)** This is not a budget hotel, but you are paying for the premium location, outstanding cleanliness, refined atmosphere, and excellent service. For what it offers, it feels like good value within the upscale-midrange category.

I went their for a trip with my friends. Their location was great very close to the transportation (bus and MRT). Easy to walk to Garosu-gil (super near a 2-3 block away from the hotel). Their staff was nice but the room isn't good very small and the room isn't soundproof (just small talk with your roommate can let the whole floor hear you)

We liked the hotel, everything is fine, there is nothing to complain about. The room is comfortable, clean, quiet, the staff is polite. The breakfasts are not a buffet, but they are delicious and slightly different every day. The location is super, a pleasant walk along the Seoullo 7017 overpass from Seoul Station. And the center is 15 minutes away. There are many convenience stores in the area. There is a restaurant with European cuisine in the hotel building - pasta, pizza, everything is delicious. I recommend Hotel Manu Seoul.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Sollago Myeongdong Hotel. The room was very spacious and perfect for a family. It had two separate rooms, each with a double bed, plus two single beds in the living room. It fit our family of five very comfortably. The unit was well equipped with a washer, smart TV, microwave, ref/freezer, and smart bidet, which made our stay easy and stress free—especially for a longer trip. The location is a big plus. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk to the subway and bus stops (Chungmuro), making it very convenient to get around Seoul. There is also a convenience store right downstairs, and many local Korean restaurants nearby, so food was never a problem. Btw, it’s a self check-in/out hotel. Very modern indeed! Overall, this hotel is a great choice for families who want space, comfort, and easy access to transport. We would gladly stay here again.

Jag bodde i ett dubbelrum i flera nätter som ensamresande. Det känns lite daterat, men det är enkelt och har alla nödvändiga bekvämligheter, så det är helt okej för en ensamresande. De stora fönstren ger det en öppen känsla. Jag tror att japaner kommer att vara oroliga för toaletten, så jag nämner det här. Jag frågade personalen om det var okej att spola ner toalettpapper i toaletten, och de sa: ”Bara lite är okej”, så det verkar som att det är okej så länge du inte spolar ner för mycket på en gång. Förresten, huruvida rummet har ett badkar eller inte är upp till dig. Om du begär städning när du går på morgonen tömmer de soporna och fyller på vatten och handdukar. Jag stördes dock av att det fortfarande fanns vatten kvar i vattenkokaren när jag försökte använda den. Man ska inte förvänta sig 100 %. Det finns två närbutiker nära hotellet, en GS25 och en liten CU. Det finns också många restauranger i omgivningarna, och det finns kaféer, Daiso och varuhus nära stationen. Även om det är långt från centrala Seoul är det lätt att ta sig till Jongno, så det är inte ett problem. När man checkar ut verkar det som att man bara kan lämna sin kortnyckel även om personalen i receptionen inte är där. Personalen talar bara koreanska, men de är mycket vänliga och hjälpsamma. Personligen tyckte jag att atmosfären var avkopplande och man behövde inte oroa sig för mycket. Jag skulle rekommendera det här stället till dem som vill bo på en lugnare plats än centrum eller som vill njuta av en lokal atmosfär. Jag skulle definitivt använda det igen när jag besöker Korea!

Located very close to famous myeongdong street. Very close to bus stop and myeondong teain station. Easy if use aiport limousine bus from incheon bcause the stop just 80 m from entrance. A list of halal restaurant nearby for muslm travellers for exmple mari meokja just infrom hotel, kampung ku and busan jib around 300 m from hotel and many more. Other attraction are within walking distance The staff were kind enough to let us chexk in 1 hr earlier. Room is spacious and clean. Can see namsan tower from the room

I thought Gangman Seven hostel was a very pleasant experience! For the value of the price it’s really unmatched in Seoul. While a bit far from the touristic neighborhood, it’s very close to several subway lines, reasonably clean for the price. ⬇️ Also if you leave the hostel and take a left and walk for 6-7 minutes, you will see this dumpling place pictured below, really incredible and affordable dumplings, I highly recommend. Went back 2 nights

2泊3日で泊まるなら丁度良い。 17時チェックインだったが、スーツケースを預けられるか聞いたら、15時なのにチェックインできた。 近くの大きい駅ぐ、江南駅なのでバスで動くと結構楽です。 大きい荷物があると、タクシーを使った方いい。 立地的に坂が多いので、バスとタクシーを合わせて使う事をオススメ。 部屋は、スタンダードダブルを選択。シャワー派の人は丁度いい。タバコの匂いが気になるくらいです。

Mixed experience from this place. We had 2 rooms booked and one included a small shower room which I did not use because it was gross, there was lots of mould and it smelt like a public bathroom, so I kept the door shut. The rooms themselves were fine and clean and great that they come with a fridge and plenty of shelves etc to put your things as there isn’t too much floor space. The bathroom was ok and kept clean and there were always clean towels available if needed. There is also a washing machine that can be used for a fair charge. The kitchen was well equipped with a stove top, microwave, hot and cold water and a large fridge and freezer. Unfortunately it was a bit dirty and needed a proper sort out, the fridge was rammed full of things and I’m sure the stuff at the back had been there for months! The desk is only manned a few hours a day and even then you have to search as the staff will be busy doing things. The encounters we had were mostly great, one staff member let us check in early which was much needed after travelling all night! Another helped us find information for a doctor after one of us had some pretty nasty bites (received while staying in one of the rooms 😬). He really couldn’t do enough to help us and sent the address for us to find etc. We did have an issue in the evening once as there was a flood in the corridor right outside my room, as there was nobody about we sent a message which was answered immediately but with ‘we will sort it first thing in the morning’. This has obviously happened before as he didn’t seem worried and the floor in my room was all warped from getting wet. It was dangerous to leave as I didn’t want anyone to slip so we ended up cleaning it up as there was no staff about! Overall it was a good place to stay for the price and the bus stop is just a couple of minutes away. Just needs a good deep clean and more staff presence!
