Casa-Belle

What a wonderful guest house Casa-Belle is. I travelled with family that had been guests before and they had spoke of how lovely it was to stay there, so I went to see for myself and they were right! The hosts Julien & Celine were more like friends and done everything possible to make our stay memorable in their home. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh croissants, French bread, home made jams and yoghurts. The rooms were clean, tidy and large! I can’t fault anything about my stay there. The town centre of Bezier is very close about 5 min walk away with many restaurants, shops and take aways at hand. There is also a quaint market twice a week. The local people were always pleasant even with the language barrier. Celine & Julien cooked us all a lovely evening meal which was absolutely gorgeous. We travelled out to the beach one day and another day inland to the city of Sérignan on the local bus for just 1€ each way! There was plenty to see and do from historic visits to shopping in Sérignan. We had a perfect holiday and hopefully I will visit again in the years to come and will have learnt a bit more French by then!!

The hostess of this place is UNBELIEVABLE in the most negative way We kindly asked, if an early check in would be possible and it was eventually arranged, but we already had a bad feeling about it, because of messages sent to us by the “hostess. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the husband. He was very polite and nice. We got our small room and his wife (“the hostess”) came to introduce herself. She said nothing but her name and then turned to her husband and asked (in French) if we are going to eat dinner at their place. The husband told her no, as we wanted to experience the town in the evening. When the wife heard that, she decided not to like us and wanted to make us as non-welcome as she could do. We went down to the pool and took two towels from the table on the pool side, as we thought they were pool towels. We had a nice discussion with the husband by the poolside and he said nothing about the ”wrong towels”. The husband left and the wife came from the house shouting about the towels we took. The husband was trying to calm her down without any success. I went to ask what was wrong and got very angry answer ”These are not your towels!!! You should ask me! Don’t take anything without asking” She kept on shouting and I tried ask if we get some pool towels then. She did everything to make us feel uncomfortable. She was checking on us all the time. There was ”an honest bar” and when we took a bottle and marked it on the list she came to us on the poolside and lifted the bottle to check that we didn´t cheat! Suddenly she came and gave us some olives for aperitif. We thought that the husband has told her to behave, so she wanted to compensate somehow her bad behavior. No that was not it. She gave us a small bowl of olives and said nothing - was just making some whistling noise. We ate some olives and found one in the bottom that was half eaten! She did that in purpose! I have a picture of that to prove, but of course she would say that we did it by ourselves. When we were leaving, she wanted to check our room before we left that we didn’t take anything! I was like this is too much! I was about to leave, but she wanted to say the last word! I tried to give her feedback, but she didn´t listen at all. She was looking so pleased to see me upset. She was so pleased that she could again humiliate me. She was shouting how everybody is always happy there and how nice person she is. Whaaat! While she made our stay miserable, she made sure that the other guests were happy - this is her tactic, so she can tell that there are no complaints from the other guests, and we are just imagining things. She is an incredible person in the most negative way. We feel sorry for her, but even more we feel sorry for her husband. He is very kind and nice - totally opposite than his wife. Think the man has been in hospitality business for a long time and the wife not. She should never be in hospitality business or any customer service position. They have a nice place

We arrived late in the evening, and were welcomed by the owner👍 They kept the pool open for a night swim, and self service with local beer suited us very well🍺 A morning bath before a delicious breakfast gave a good start to the day😇 A very wonderful place that should be experienced🇫🇷😎

I found this "hotel" bu chance and wow this was an experience to remember. It is not really a typical hotel as it is at home at the owners with five rooms. The owner pair is super nice, facilities is really good and food, cooked and eaten with the owners and other guests was unbelievable good. ...coulds be because art was my favourite food Thai! Before, during and after the dinner we, the guests, and the owners hanged out and had such a nice time. Also, at breakfast the day after we all knew each other. I have only one verdict: Go there!

Perfect stay, perfect hostess. Will return, this accommodation will only get better I think! The new owners took over around 3 months ago. Nothing was too much trouble, our room was lovely with views over the gardens down to The Orb river. Can’t wait to return!
