Villa Real Club Apartments

We have returned to Camp du Mar after having a great time last year, although this year we have taken a villa in Villa Real. It's a lovely place, nice quiet pool, can be busy at weekends so we went to the beach instead, but during the week very peaceful. The staff are great, helpful, friendly and polite. Was amazed at how many people have been returning to these villas, time and time again, but l can see it's charm. Our rooms were large, clean and had everything we needed. Beds comfy, plenty of storage space. Towels for the pool were available so no need to bring with you. The restaurant and bar was lovely, good selection of food and reasonably priced, mostly Spanish which we enjoyed. Overall we would also return 👍👍👍👍

Came for food as our hotel (Alua Gran) lunch service wasn’t open and nearby restaurants were closed. Really friendly advice and amazing food! Great seating infront with a glimpse of the sea. Went and had lunch/ dinner most of the time during our stay there. We wish we stayed at the villa as the service was also very friendly too.

Very friendly staff. The food is not bad, not good. Easy fast food with dishes i spired from all over the world - obviously that cant be done with high quality in mind. the internet is dodgy - not working in soem apartments - And even though the friendly staff request technical it seems untesolvable. I believe it will be solved at a certain point. Finally the bad pieces - to my ubderstanding the hotel has been taken over by an even this weeks. which has resulted in staying guest not beeing able to order foord poolside, and I have noticed guest that had reserved spots beeing moved without notification. In my oppinion a privat large event is cool, however the hotels off course has to serve all customers with a reasonable equality. unfortunalte that is bot the experience - for our stay we wilm find other placers to stays and dine in the future

I’ll start with the positives. The apartments have clearly been refurbished and are lovely and bright. SOME of the staff were friendly. It’s in an excellent location. The food we ordered was nice and tasty. The beds were comfy and the air con worked well. Great shower. NEGATIVES:- 1- the biggest problem with this apartment is that at 12pm everyday the hotel pool is open to the public for a small fee . This results in the hotel becoming a zoo, full of loud local people. This means the pull is full. No sun beds. We couldn’t order food at the pool because they said they were too busy serving the guests who have reserved to use the pool for a fee. 2- the hotel seems more interested in putting on private events, in the 4 days that we visited there was a private party 3 out of the 4 days. A baptism was held for 100 people. For a small boutique hotel this totally impacted upon our stay. Hotel management clearly more interested in money than guest satisfaction. Camp de mar the area is lovely and we would definitely return. Upmarket with a beautiful beach. Sadly the issues with the hotel would mean we would have to stay elsewhere.

The hotel and staff are good value if only it wasn’t so loud, I was at the front of the hotel and a party below went on all night, even with ear plugs it was unbearable, it totally ruined my holiday, I thought because it was a monday there may be some let up, but no, luckily I had a room by myself as I was on a cycling holiday with friends, if i was with my family it would of ruined the whole holiday

Recently stayed here for the 3rd time in the last 5 years. Recently refurbished to a lovely standard, with some finishing touches still to be made. Lovely room for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children) with balcony to a sea view, lovely modern rain shower, kitchenette with fridge, hob and microwave. Comfortable beds, nice dining table, access to a TV (which we didn’t use) and a must in July, AIR CONDITIONING! Helen and the staff were lovely and helpful as usual, very accommodating with a fairly relaxed attitude. Nice pool area with a very warm, clean swimming pool and nice sun beds, parasols with a view k we the mountain backdrop. New restaurant and menu is lovely too. Some very minor recommendations to improve even more would be: 1) Cheaper/simpler pool bar snack menu 2) More mirrors required in room (one above dressing table and a full length one would be useful) 3) More wardrobes and/or chest of drawers for clothes in rooms that sleep 4 4) More shelving or a cabinet in shower room for toiletries 5) Washing airier/clothes horse for wet towels and swimwear on balcony (towels don’t look great hanging over balconies). We hope to come back next July - we love it at the Villa Real and the recent refurbishments have made it feel even more modern and comfortable. Thanks you Helen, Gabrielle and Team!
