Kalimba Beach Resort

First time to Gambia, first time to Africa and what an experience!!! We selected Kalimba because of a package offered through our travel agent and it was fully worth it! Such a nice place, so many nice people taking care of us, what a nice room directly at a swimming pool. What else you could wish for a short stay under the sun? Especially the breakfast crew, with Tamara, Aisha, Kaddy, Penda and the lady from the ‘Egg Station’ gave us a fantastic start of every new day. Food was good, terrace was nice and clean, service was excellent and the constant smile on their faces made this complete. Also Fatou, cleaning our room and leaving fresh flowers on our bed every morning, left a special memory to us. We remember Sally and Katy at the bar near the main swimming pool, every time when we wanted to take a nap on the sunbeds at the beach after lunch and had a cocktail there first (and after…). Pity that Adame unexpectedly left the evening crew, as she did an excellent job together with ‘Bax’ in supporting our dinners! Our plan is, to come back to this wonderful place later this year and we certainly hope that the specific people we mentioned and all others who contributed to our fantastic experience will be there for us again! ‘Jërëjëf’!!! Very nice people. All of the bar we met, Isha, Sally, Hassan, Pah and the others, so much thanks to you. I just don't want to forget all of the personel, many thanks. So much love and dedication they will give us. If something is not good, just ask. No water, no electricity, remember, this is Gambia. They will fix it for you and everybody. Thanks all!!
