Amazing Stay at Waldorf Astoria! I had an incredible experience at the Waldorf Astoria. From the moment I arrived, everything was simply perfect. The service was outstanding, and the attention to detail made my stay truly special. A special thank you to Donia, our personal concierge, who was super kind and always available to help with anything we needed. Her professionalism and warm hospitality made a huge difference in our stay. The resort itself is stunning, with breathtaking views and a relaxing atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended.

PARADISE That is the only word that can be used to describe Platte Island Every single thing about this place is perfect, the beach the wildlife the food the staff, the quality, the villas, the facilities. Literally cannot fault it. We had the most amazing experience of our lives coming to the island. We were so well looked after by every member of staff, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and have the most memorable stay which we did. We all had our own personalised pushbikes with our names on which was a lovely touch and they were perfect for getting around the island. The food is out of this world. And the whole experience of seeing so much wildlife, walking along the beach in the dark and seeing the clear sky with a blanket of stars is like being in a dream. Also, the amount of crabs on this island is unbelievable 🦀 😆 Seeing baby sharks in the water, stingrays and watching a turtle give birth for over 45 minutes before she went into the water to swim away, was just the most surreal experience. We feel completely blessed that we were lucky enough to witness such a beautiful moment. New Years Eve was an incredible night. The most unbelievable spread of food ever seen. All of the restaurants on this island are top quality, and the chefs will go above and beyond to make sure that you are happy with your food. We would not hesitate to come back to Platte Island. We have fell in love with this place. If you want to make an extremely special memory with your family, do not hesitate making this booking, I can guarantee you will not regret it We cannot wait to go back Lawson/Sivori Family

Platte Island is the most satisfactory island in my trip, there are beautiful beaches,Wonderful activities, delicious meals, and friendly staff.This is another masterpiece of the Waldorf brand, I like it very much, and I will choose it next time.

We booked the 3 bedroom villa for the week of New Year. Overall, the stay was excellent, the highlight being the outstanding service across the entire resort. Positives 1. Our inbound flight to Seychelles was delayed 4hrs, which meant we missed the once per day flight to the island. The duty manager arranged another flight (at no additional cost) to ensure we reached the island by end of day. This was highly appreciated. 2. Villa was great (#60). Extremely spacious, modern, everything worked as you'd expect. One highlight not often seen on these type of remote resorts was the showers, an abundance of hot water and powerful. Comfortable beds, etc. 3. Customer service was outstanding. Everywhere. Personal but discrete. We had a designated person (Moussa) to assist us. Nothing was too much trouble, he was incredibly responsive, I couldn't be more effusive in my praise for his professionalism. The same for housekeeping, regularly kept the villa refreshed, nothing too much trouble. The attention to guests and providing service with a smile was evident everywhere. 4. Spa was fantastic. Treatments excellent. 5. Dinner options good, plenty of choice. I would highly recommend Moulin, which was exceptional. While vegetarian in nature, it offers a second menu which replicates the main vegetarian menu but adds fish and wagyu beef. I would say the dinners we had there were one of the highlights of the week. 6. Turtles. You see them, we were fortunate enough to see laying and hatching. 7. Island. Spacious enough to have plenty of privacy, never felt crowded. While the beaches themselves weren't as expansive as maybe other islands, still plenty of opportunities to experience different parts by using the bikes provided. Improvement Opportunities 1. Snorkelling. I'd say this was the only real disappointment, especially as it had been something we'd really looked forward to based on the geography of the island. When it's low tide, you can't snorkel (basically can walk across the lagoon). Much depends on the timing of the tides and the week you go (resort can't control that!). The week we were there, it was low tide for majority of the day unfortunately, high tide was generally between 4.30am and 7.30am (or after sunset), which meant we had to wake early and snorkel just before sunrise at 6.30am. However, with high tide, we found the water visibility to be consistently poor, which made for a lot of disappointment (especially since it was clear there were a lot of turtles, rays and sharks in the water at high tide....you saw lots of glimpses, but not much else due to visibility). As always with nature, it's a lottery and others might experience better conditions (if so, you will surely see a lot). 2. Main pool service. The pool was large with quality day beds. Unfortunately, for this part of the resort, service was a little "hit and miss". We used it three times, once service was almost immediate and excellent.....the other two times we waited 60-90 minutes a

Our stay in Platte Island was more than memorable. From the real privacy of the villas to the breathtaking nature, Waldorf Astoria in Seychelles easily became one of our favorite vacations to date. However, what made our time this amazing was the people there. Therefore, I want to start by saying, once again, a big Thank You to everyone that made it happen, especially: Donia, who we had a pleasure to have as our personal concierge. She rose to every challenge, big or small, with grace in order to ensure the best experience possible. Our stay truly wouldn’t be the same without her. Upendra, our housekeeper, who came in everyday with the biggest smile on his face. We have never met somebody with such attention to details (from our shoes being perfectly laid down to extra coffee pots for my coffee loving parents.) He truly went above and beyond for us and always made sure we had everything we needed. All the staff at Maison des epices, but especially Gino who easily felt like a friend. We started coming there for the amazing food and delicious drinks, but Gino is the reason we kept on coming back. Lastly, to Vivian, who often was our driver. He has unmatched passion and knowledge of the island and its inhabitants. I have learnt so much from him about nature, animals, and history, which I deeply appreciate. Without him, I wouldn’t leave Platte Island knowing all of the fascinating facts. Waldorf Astoria’s staff in Seychelles is unmatched to any other place we’ve been to. Moreover, the hotel’s food options were pretty great. We had lunch everyday next to the pools in our villas, which was so special. The service is great, and we never had to wait long. I have previously mentioned one of the restaurants we truly enjoyed. The second one is Moulin - a no-waste restaurant with a set menu. The staff is also incredible and the food is to die for. The third restaurant option, and the only one that offers breakfast, is La Perle. We wished there were more breakfast options, and that the staff matched the level of the other two restaurants. However, overall, we were happy with the dinning. We spent most of our days enjoying our villas and the private pools. As the beach was just steps away, my sister and I often snorkeled and our parents went on many walks on the beach. We also took many bike rides on the beautiful island and, by the recommendation of Vivian, we stargazed on the runway. I could go on and on about all the things that made our stay so incredible. However, there are few things that should be noted. Firstly, there is quite a lot of glass above the tide level. When you leave your garden, you step on the beginning of the beach that is too high for the waves to reach. I was inches away from stepping on a piece of glass sticking from the sand there. It definitely would be something, that no matter how great the hotel is, would ruin my entire vacation. We often saw empty glass bottles in the greenery as well.
