La Fleur de Lys

Good quality well designed room so although our room was small, it was fine for short stays. The small bathroom with shower could be more of a problem for bigger people. Fridge with water and fresh milk was a nice touch. Didn't use the restaurant in the evening but breakfast was fine. Staff helpful and friendly, We managed the small car park driveway fine but our car is old and small so easier to manage and less to risk. The car park itself was no problem.

I stayed for three nights in a lovely, quiet room at the back of the hotel. The quality of the bed, towels, robe and furnishings was excellent as was the cleanliness and house keeping. The Fleur delays theme is reflected in the bedding and curtains. The breakfast is really superb and having had breakfast here, the rest of the hotels I stayed in on my trip, didn’t quite come up to the very high standards, care and attention that is taken here to prepare everything with such attention to detail. I was visiting friends who live nearby but had dinner here alone one evening. It was a superb dining experience with a great deal of choice. I enjoyed a starter of monkfish and scallops, followed by Guinea fowl and then a chocolate box desert that somewhat defeated me. The car park entrance is a little tight but I managed to get a Mini Countryman in and out each day, just about and with care. If you like staying in places that are charming with no music blaring and tvs on, run by people who seem to really care about their guests I would highly recommend La Fleur de Lys.

Excellent : the food in La Fleur de Lys is exceptional - very high class, diverse and cooked with passion. The rooms are perfect with high quality fitments, bedding and rest room. Also with a stocked frig Great location, 7 miles from the main A303 and minutes away from the local shops and sites to see If you are a "foodie" like us, you will definitely not be disappointed - both chefs are absolutely excellent via their years working at high-end establishments

A lovely hotel, the attention to detail makes it a perfect place to stay. We had a cafetière for a proper coffee in the morning in our room, the hotel was spotless and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious as well with lots of choices available.

An absolutely amazing hidden gem! Having not been from the area this was a special treat from my in-laws as my husbands birthday and it most certainly did not disappoint. On arrival we were created by the chef as we were early - but seated in the snug/bar and soon offered drinks and nibbles. Then the many arrived! Well - I just didn’t know what to choose - everything sounded incredible - and it was! This place is faultless from the ambiance to the food to the staff! Attentional to detail was just wonderful and nothing too much trouble! We will definitely be back - there’s so much more to choose from on the menu! ☺️

Well worth taking in the full experience of dining and sleeping at the Fleur de Lys. The welcome is warm, the rooms are comfortable in a traditional sort of way and it's the sort of place where you want to linger and talk to the delightful owners and fellow guests. As for the food, this is proper gastronomic stuff, well chosen, well prepared and well presented - amuse bouches and all. The feeling in the restaurant is of being cosseted in a nicely laid out dining area where everything is going to work perfectly. And a good wine list.

We made a late minute booking and found everything to be ready for us. The bar served perfect Gins and cold beers. We ventured out for drinks and dinner however the breakfast next day was exceptional. The rooms were well fitted out and comfy bed.

Very enjoyable stay in a nice room and with an excellent leal. Definitely deserves its Certificate of Excellence. The venison was superb as was the chowder. All served with little extras like capes and very fresh rolls.

Stayed for work and booked based on location Shown to my room and all facilities explained It is an old building and very traditional but room was clean and warm Like the added touch of fresh milk and biscuits too I didn’t have dinner in the restaurant as it felt too formal for 1 person but the menu looked very good David who looked after me during my stay made me a delicious steak sandwich which I enjoyed in the Lounge Breakfast was delicious
