Lovely 50’s style motel with knotty pine paneling. Super clean and friendly and good coffee and continental breakfast . We were skiing at Bellayre and it’s just a couple miles down the road and from the heart of Phonecia. We loved it. 10 stars 😎 Also hats off to Brio’s pizzaria,a family favorite!

This place is rustic. Not fancy, its inexpensive but clean, comfortable and a great location. The staff is amazing and friendly and super nice. The rooms are quiet. The bathrooms need updating but are clean. Would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Phoenicia Lodge - first time but note the last time! Our cabin was very cozy, clean and warm. Plenty of hot water for a refreshing rinse after a day of skiing, and the WiFi was excellent (a necessity in this area, as the cell service is spotty). Our host Sandra was gracious and responsive. The Lodge is just 1/2 mike up the road from the town of Phoenicia, and 15 minutes from Bellayre Mountain. We’ll be sure to make the Phoenicia Lodge a regular part of our ski weekends - it was a very pleasant stay!

My stay at Phoenicia Lodge with Sandy and Andy was a wonderful experience. We were pleasantly surprised by how cozy and impeccably clean our cabin was, especially given the harsh weather conditions. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, served in wonderfully large mugs—perfect for warming up on a chilly morning. What stood out most was the genuine care the staff showed for guests, particularly when it came to our safety. One unexpected highlight was their unbelievably vast DVD collection—we found the exact movie we were looking for! The cabin’s kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, though it’s worth noting there wasn’t a microwave. However, with all the other thoughtful amenities, we hardly missed it. The lodge is also in a great location for skiers, with easy access to Belleayre Mountain, Hunter Mountain, and Windham Mountain. If you’re planning a winter getaway in the Catskills, I highly recommend staying here.

Our cozy charming cottage was super clean and comfy with convenient kitchen amenities, cable TV and Wi-Fi. A great location close to Ski slopes, beautiful hiking trails, the scenic Esopus Creek and excellent local dining. The staff is super friendly, welcoming and accommodating. A convenient light breakfast is also offered. The Phoenicia Lodge is a true gem.

Serene and peaceful. Close to ski slopes, diners. Good place for long stay too. The lodge provides refrigerator and cooking amenities. Comfy beds. Clean bath. Ample parking. Emily is an awesome host. Highly recommend the place. Less than 2.5 hours from NYC.

Nothing better than a cozy comfortable lodge in a great location… Close to the ski slopes and close to downtown Woodstock. The cottages are super cozy and rustic, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. From breakfast in the morning to fire pits in the evening, just a great vibe all around!

Have been coming to Phoenicia Lodge for years now. Just love it. We always feel right at home and love cabin # 4 although all the rooms are wonderful. Super charming, cozy and friendly. Total lodge feel. Light breakfast provided. The surroundings are stunning as well, in the middle of the pines and a step away from the Esopus Creek. A gem in Phoenicia hands down!

I love the Phoenicia Lodge, and it just gets better every time I stay there. My trip was just to get away from the city and do some writing without any distractions, and this cabin delivered. It was super cold outside—definitely felt below zero—but I was always comfy inside, and slept soundly. The breakfast in the main office was delicious and the conversation was fun. I’ll definitely be back.
