Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Hotel (Shanghai Train Station) recensioner

This Hotel are amazing. they are located just in front of Shanghai Railway station. they serve a very perfect breakfast every morning.. I would say that the price is the best deal. they provide a free Cookies, bottle water, coffee and Candy exactly in the lobby near the entrance. its totally free . large room and very clean bathroom. We love our stay ( for 7 days) one thing i want to suggest is, the hotel building sign is : Country Inn and Suites by Radisson . meanwhile in trip.com app sign is : Liyi Hotel. ( with english and chinese characters) I think trip.com should write down with both language in english : Country Inn and Suites by Radisson And in Chinese : Liyi Hotel, to make it easier for traveller to find the hotel

Stayed here before, this time round no free upgrade given. Staff is not able to speak english but not a problem as we can speak a bit of mandarin. Check in was ok but this time round both rooms given to us have issues. First room despite being non smoking room has strong ciggarates smell all over. Not sure why the housekeeping didnt noticed this or at least open the window for ventilation. Second room air conditioning system is not working therefore the room is very warm and stuffy. Otherwise the rooms are as expected, compact size but quite spacious bathroom with good smelling toiletries. Free supper was minimal and can skip as the choices are limited. Buffet breakfast menu was limited and about the same as per my last stay in Dec 2024. Only 1 coffee machine available during breakfast which is not sufficient. This time round i do noticed the quality of coffee has dropped. Coffee from machine somehow is diluted. Hope the hotel can do something about this. Anyway the plus point staying at this hotel is that it is 5 mins walk ftter in my opinionrom Shanghai railway station and metro station exit 1 is only 5 mins walk away too. Lobby has a station with free flow mineral water, hot tea and hot coffee with biscuit which is nice. Overall, this time round my stay experience is just average. Can be better.

Everything was good, except that the room had no heater. It felt quite cool at night when the temperature was around 6-9°C. The location was strategic, as it was near the Shanghai Railway Station.

Great hotel, very near the metro station. they also have bottled water and snacks at the lobby for you if you need anything. there's also convenience stores nearby. room is decently spacious as well. however the rooms are VERY dimly lit, it's very dark in most parts of the room. also halfway through they switched off the airconditioning without informing us and only told us later on when we called to check and offered to bring fans to us. i felt like this should have been informed/notified when we return/enter the hotel, or a note should've been left at our doors so that we arent caught off guard because it was really quite uncomfortable having no ventilation. also they said the heating was turned on but we tried to use the heater to turn on the fan speed at least but that dint work at all. however hotel was very accommodating and responsive whenever we had problems so appreciated that. breakfast variaty was good as well.

Had to change the room hotel cause the room given to us initially was hot and has a smoke smell. It’s also my first time to know that they do not have a cold aircon in the room when it’s winter and advise us to open the window. Aircon is to use the heater instead as the aircon is a centralized aircon. First room - despite having the windows open, it was quite stuffy We shifted our room to a better placement where there were air coming in the room so the room is cooler than the previous. Doesn’t have good ventilation but at least the room is cleaner. Breakfast selection is decent with lots of varieties.

Hotel was great in terms of service - staff were very friendly and helpful. They even had free late night snacks / congee. Breakfast was also very good with a personalized noodle station among other things. Only negative would be that there is a smoke smell throughout the building despite it being a smoke free hotel.

Near Shanghai Train Station (Walking distance around 5 minutes) last Metro train is 23:00

They provide free bottled water, coffee, snacks, candies.

Stay in Nov 2024. Booked 2 room. Room 1313 got issue. End up took room 1003 and 1005. Room 1313, the door covering the shower glass door cannot close(please see picture) . No issue Room 1003. Cannot flush toilet paper, end up toilet bowl choke. After that was solved by hotel staff. Nov was cold in Shanghai. So only heater or hot air available. But if you need cold air, can ask hotel to open the outer window for you. It is near high speed railway station and metro station. But the elevator for the metro is inside another hotel (very strange). Anyway if you stroller, might be an issue to walk up and down staircase to metro station. Everywhere people smoking in station and spitting phlegm. You can find food around the hotel. Funny thing is call liyi hotel, English name is country inn and suites by Radisson. But under Radisson website cannot find, only can find in trip.com. it seems to be under jinjiang group hotel instead.

super convenient location as it’s directly facing the main road, theres a bus stop in-front of the hotel + its a few mins walk away from shanghai railway station, though we only used didi during our trip in shanghai. its about a 45 mins taxi ride to pudong international airport & disney, 10 mins away from people’s square, yu garden & nanjing area / the bund. room was so spacious for 3 person. service was great, smooth check in. we didn’t opt for room service & asked the front desk for clean towels, when we reached our room the staff was already there with the clean towels. will definitely stay here again when i go back to shanghai in the future :)

The hotel location is great, the service is excellent and staffs are very friendly and helpful, best recommended hotel to stay and will definitely choose to stay again for my next visit in Shanghai

The hotel is 3 minutes away from the railway station by walking. Very convenient. The breakfast was good with many options. My only complaint is that the room was not very clean. They can easily improve on that.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is great. The room is clean and the staff is really nice. The only downfall is that the bathroom is not too practical: the floor is a little bit slippery and it overall does not offer a lot of privacy. In general it was a great stay.
