Jitai Hotel (Zhongshan North Road Metro Station) recensioner

Best hotel to live with friends as well as couples. The price is reasonable and it's quite near to The Bund.

This hotel is poor in their service. They didn't do any housekeeping unless we asked for it. There is only one chair, for a room which is for six adults! We asked for more chairs, but they said they didn't have any more. The keypad locks on the bedroom doors were frustrating as the passcode didn't always work. The location is a bit far from the metro and shops.

Have to climb up very steep stairs to room. Not recommended if you have big luggage. Far away from all metro stations. 20min walk to Shanghai railway station.

I would not recommend this hotel at all. The location is in the middle of nowhere. The room does not look like in the picture, with the window being as tiny as it gets. Also, the cleanliness could be improved as well. But the worst experienced I faced, was with the worker at the reception Mr.魏. From the first moment I entered the hotel to check in he did not even consider saying hello and was super annoyed talking to me. And later conversation he was literally ignoring me and looking down at me. This is not something to expect from a hotel like that in Shanghai. Luckily not all workers from the reception or like that, the rest of the crew seemed very calm and nice. But unfortunately Mr.魏 ruined my service experience.

I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it if you want to be get around quickly and see different sides of Shanghai. Everyone was very helpful and friendly

The location is not great (convenient if you're arriving by train at the central Shanghai station), but there's a metro stop about 10+ min walk from here, and it's 4 stops from the centre/ Nanjing Rd. Plus, the metro is really affordable. It's clean, and the cleaners come every afternoon to change the towels and take out the rubbish. Staff only speak Chinese, all comm is through google translate. WiFi doesn't work

You cannot at all rely on wifi, it's very patchy and most of the time doesn't even work at all. Thankfully, e-sims from alipay and trip are affordable and easy to set up. Don't get the windowless room if you can.

Dirty staircase - room floor super dirty - no warm super cold the room not for winter

We booked the family suite to give us a bit of space. Everything was spotlessly clean and everything was in working order and the staff are friendly and enthusiastic -ready to help at any time. One has excellent English but all communicate well through online translators. Only possible downsides are the walk to the metro and some noise from the package station below in the early evening. Neither bothered us and I would recommend this hotel as excellent value for money.
