Excellent location and service.  Very large hotel room with friendly hotel worker.  The bell boy was friendly and very helpful.

I had a great stay at The Golden Tulip. The first I was given had a really foul smell, extremely stuffed and moldy but I went down to the concierge and asked for a room switch. Which they did give me and the next one smelt okay. The service was good. Room was okay for the price considering it’s in Shanghai and it’s not too far from The Bund area. Around 20 mins by car could be more depending on the traffic. I’d definitely stay here again! This was my second time actually but it was even way better a few years ago.

Good hotel, lots of amenities and plus for free washing and drying. Negatives are probably related to the age of the place such as cold food at restaurants due to lack of people, and more detail on cleanliness would have made it a true 4 stars.

I had an amazing five-night stay at the Golden Tulip Shanghai! The location was perfect, the service was excellent, and the view from the room was stunning. One of the highlights was the thoughtful surprise they arranged for my brother’s birthday, sending a cake via a robot, which made the experience even more special. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great experience!

Close to a shopping mall, and 10 minute walk to metro station. Small convenience store within car park which came in handy. Unfortunately, the swimming pool was closed due to maintenance during our entire stay which was disappointing as this was one of the reasons we chose to stay here. We did receive a room upgrade which was greatly appreciated.

The hotel is located in a location within walking distance to metro station and route 71 bus stop. The hotel is generally clean but shows its age at some places. Overall it has been a good experience to stay in this hotel. And will definitely stay there again next time visiting Shanghai.

It was all perfect particularly the staff there. I had issue with car charging and the manager 严蔚 along with her colleague help me a lot till the problem is solved.

Needed a good and affordable place for a good night sleep. That’s what I was expecting and received. My go to spot while in Shanghai.
