Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel

Renaissance hotel never let us down, this one locates in the heart of New Pudong area, it’s reasonably close to Centre but less busy or crowded. It’s in a really beautiful area and gave you the aurar of luxury.  Hotel itself is beautiful, modern and most importantly, impeccably presented throughout. The front desk staff were very friendly and made us felt welcomed upon arrival. They then proceed to check us in promptly and most of our modest requests were met without any fuss - this is what 5* hotel is all about!  Once into the room we were again wow’d by the big, modern room and top notch facilities, we immediately knew we would have a great stay (which we did). The beddings were fresh and clean, towels, bath robe and slippers all provided in best conditions.  In the evening we checked out the swimming pool which our children loved (swimming hat required we had to purchase them at rmb100 each), following day before check out we all had great breakfast with a deal purchased via front desk. I’d say a huge thank you to Lynn and the front desk team whom checked us in and arranged everything we need for a wonderful time spent at the Renaissance Hotel, it will be my first choice next time I’m back in SH!  Ps, Lynn was so helpful even ordered takeaways for us since we don’t have local number (if you were to order uber type taxi, takeaway food etc you need to get a local sim) - the CS is out of this world good. And we got the automatic robot delivering them straight to our room

I also enjoyed the breakfast / pool / gym / view / facilities, which were [well-maintained . Overall, I would recommend / consider staying again this hotel for business travelers

It was another relaxing stay at this hotel. Great value for money and great customer service. Karen at the front desk and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

Good service and good location to go convenient store, shopping mall.

I prepay 109,24 € and I should pay only 918,81 CNY at the hotel. But in check-in the hotel on reception tried to charge 2500 yuan(about 330EUR) as a deposit. I wait in a lobby and checked the voucher about deposit 2500CNY.This was not stated on the voucher. Only 918,81 CNY. I don't have credit card and I don't have enough money for a deposit in my debit card. I went back to the reception and asked to check my booking information. I was about to cancel the reservation and look for another hotel, but the reception took pity and told me to pay only 1000CNY. This amount was on my debit card and they checked me in. See screenshots of my online bank statement. Apart from this misunderstanding at check-in, I liked the hotel. A nice spacious room with expensive furniture and a beautiful interior. A great varied breakfast. There were no napkins or cutlery on the table at breakfast. I asked the staff and they brought it to me. При заселении пытались взять депозит 2500 юаней( около 330 евро). Такого в ваучере не было. Нужно было только заплатить 918,81юаней. То есть при бронировании ты платишь и при заселении, имейте ввиду, потом при выселении депозит возвращают на карту. Но пытались взять очень большой депозит, такой суммы не было на моей дебитовой карте. Уже думал,что не заселят. В целом отель понравился, дорогая мебель в номере, отличная ванная. Превосходный завтрак. В бассейне нужна шапочка для плавания, её не дают, только покупать, а она дорого стоит. От метро минут 15 пешком.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. While the location wasn't very central, it was still manageable with public transport. Unfortunately, the pool was a bit disappointing — it didn’t quite meet our expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. Also, the sauna facilities were separated by gender, which felt a bit inconvenient. On the positive side, the breakfast was definitely a highlight. There was a wide variety of options, both hot and cold, and everything was fresh and tasty. The reception staff were also very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. Overall, it’s a decent place if you're not looking for a central location and prioritize good service and a generous breakfast.
