Chateau Star River Pudong Shanghai recensioner

I stayed for one night having had to renew my passport at the Bund Centre. The hotel staff at the lobby were incredibly kind and helpful. The garden view room I booked was sparklingly clean with a king sized bed. That bed was so soft and comfortable, I almost cried. The hotel also has a Spa at the basement alongside many other facilities, I used my 100 RMB coupon to get a head massage at the Spa. Again, I phenomenal service from the lady at spa reception, I we even took pictures together after my massage. I do regret going in winter because I couldn’t access the pool, and maybe the large balcony doors could be open unlocked the request of the guest as it would be easier to smoke there instead of having to make the trip all the way outside. I must also commend the gentlemen that are stood at the entrance to welcome guests and help with bags. They were super friendly and polite (and handsome too haha) Overall, my stay though short, was enjoyable and I would definitely stay there again if I’m ever in Shanghai again.

Chateau Star hotel is an amazing hotel. This is my second stay at this hotel. I must say they didn’t disappoint at all. ❤️😍staff is helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious. What a fabulous way to start 2025!!

It's a very nice hotel. One problem is that all the staff only speak Chinese. I think this problem needs to be solved.

When you see a nice outdoor pool in this 5 star hotel, DON'T ASSUME IT'S TRUE!! because you need to PAY for it. Also, many fitness spaces are renting out, and the atmosphere feels like you're a stranger. Well, the rooms are amazing, big space, clean and fancy. Breakfast 7 out of 10. For families, I personally do not recommend this hotel unless you just want to stay one night and go.

Very unconvieniant Location . Isolated But Architectural Masterpiece .Good breakfast . Ideal for family vacations, but not for business travel.

The hotel was beautiful and hygienic. Both check-in and check-out, the staff at the front desk are professional and welcoming. This trip is the wedding anniversary trip for my wife and me. The hotel also prepared a cake for me. The cake is very beautiful and creative. In addition, our front office manager, Mr. Liu, was very helpful throughout our stay. No matter what problems in the hotel, she can help coordinate and solve them in time. Or when we go out to play, they are very careful and fast to provide us with a plan to play, during which they have always maintained wechat communication with us, so that foreigners who come to China for the first time feel safe, just like their own friends. Our family is very happy to have met her here.

Good quality for stay, highly recommend

The service was great. The outdoor swimming pool is not deep at all, so it doesn’t worse to overpay for it. But the room , breakfast and gyms were on top level.

Hotel is not new but the rooms are quite big. Quite overprized overall Service was good

I chose this hotel for the outdoor pool. I was disappointed - it was filled anout a third of its capacity. Be prepared to have breakfast with children while their parents staring at their phones. Then, I asked for a room in a quiet area. I woke up 2 nights because of noisy hotel guests. This morning was the last straw - I left at 2am. This was a not what I expected and requested for a relaxing birthday staycation. But! very helpful frontdesk staff.

Good stuff and fancy sport facilities.
