I am extremely disappointed and outraged by the behavior of a female receptionist at this hotel. During our 7-day stay, she repeatedly disrespected us, spoke ill of us behind our backs, and acted in a sarcastic and unprofessional manner. What’s even more unacceptable is that she insulted our country and our dignity by making mocking remarks in Chinese to a cleaning staff member right in front of us, assuming we didn’t understand the language. In reality, we all understand Chinese—we simply chose not to reveal it.
We politely requested a refill of toilet paper in the morning and reminded the staff several times, but the receptionist only responded perfunctorily and no one ever brought the paper. Every time we appeared in the lobby, she showed an unpleasant and mocking attitude, as if our presence was a bother.
We believe that every human being deserves respect—especially mutual respect between people of different nations. Discrimination and racism have no place in hospitality services. As a travel blogger, I am deeply hurt by this experience and feel compelled to share this story with my followers back home so they can be aware of the unacceptable behavior of this female receptionist at this hotel.
