JI Hotel (Shanghai Xujiahui)

My family have stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years but we will not be staying here again. The biggest issue is that there is no wifi connection in communal areas or in own rooms. The staff tried a little to help us but blamed it on foreign phones - even though the phones were bought in China and used a Chinese version in WeChat and had Chinese SIM cards. There is also construction next to the hotel which can be heard every morning. We were supposed to stay for another week but were so frustrated that we cancelled the booking and went to another hotel. Such a shame.

Very convenient location at the metro station Xujiahui, shopping malls and food places. But the staff don’t speak English. Also there was a lot of loud noise from early in the morning coming from the outside building site. The window was facing a wall and was very dirty!

GOOD LOCATION AND SERVICE. BUT SMELL NOT GOOD, SOME GUESTS SMOKE IN THE ROOM. THE FRONT DESK HELPED A OOT TO CHANGE THE ROOM

The location is very convenience, near mall and lots of place to eat. The only downside is that the stair when we enter the hotel...quite narrow and without handle. But overall I'm very satisfied. The staff is very helpful and heart warming. They help me drag the luggage along stair. Grateful for that. Definitely will stay again in this chain hotel group on my next trip to China.

The check in experience was certainly not great. Firstly the Reception person was grumpy and must have had a bad day; Secondly he send me to floor 6, my room but had only validated to floor 5, hence i had to return to reception to get a new room card. The room was quiet, had everything one needs, great location in the middle of Xuijiahuai. Quiet, clean and a huge TV. The hotel is 3 minutes walk from the centre of shopping and dining !

The location is very convenient as its located in the city of Xujiahui. There are many shopping malls and restaurants just around walking distance from the hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful as they even help to collect and keep my parcel that arrived earlier before i check in. The part that amaze me the most is there are washer and dryer provided for all guest to use for free. So for people who likes to travel light with lesser clothes, this is definitely the most ideal hotel for your stay!
