Clean, and in a very nice and vibrant neighbourhood. Room was a bit packed with 2 suitcases and no wardrobes. Overall pleasant stay. Only I need to express that the rabbit really needs a bigger cage, with some cover from the light it in 24/7…

A boutique hotel right at the metro station’s doorstep (Exit 4) and located in a Shikumen lane, near shopping / foodie hotspots along Shaanxi South Road and Huaihai Road. Just 1-2 metro stops away from Nanjing East Road, Xintiandi, People’s Square. Super convenient. The rooms are on the smaller side but very well equipped and beautifully decorated in old Shanghai style. The staff are very hospitable and you can contact them through WeChat if you need any assistance. I did a lot of online shopping and sent so many parcels to the hotel address but they were always kind to assist with receiving them on my behalf. I did not try the resraursnt but I often saw it packed with people who visited, not just hotel guests. There is an adorable bunny on the premises too! I will definitely consider booking this hotel again if I return to Shanghai.

Very good location, just about 100m from subway south Shanxi Road Exit 4, Hotel has two buildings the old mansion and and a new one. We stayed at he new buildings garden room. Very nice and quiet location ring in the most bustling area. Very nice and friendly staff, included breakfast was okay and freshly prepared (like their churros). Noodle soup cost additional.

Very small room. Upon checking in d staff said d reserved room was located on 4th floor, but elevator only go as far as 3rd floor. They suggested room change with extra fee. And turned out that’s quite necessary coz d stairway to 4th floor, or d attic, was extremely small and high-degree slope, rather impossible to carry even mid-sized luggage. And d check in took forever, with them asking u to download their apps and everything. Once is really enough.

The location and the exterior of the hotel are amazing, you really get that ‘old Shanghai’ feel in the area. From the hotel the metro station is a 2 minute walk which makes all the big sights easily reachable. The amenities in my room were so-so. The shower head was leaking and the automated curtains were not working properly, so I had to keep the curtains closed throughout my stay. The bunny needs to be better taken care of, it was always locked up in a tiny cage with literally nothing in it except some water and little bit of hay. It looked depressed and malnourished to me.

Everything perfect buuuut, how can they give us a room with only 2 meters to the ceiling? I am 188 and can’t be standed. But well the rest super nice
