The St.Regis on the Bund,Shanghai recensioner

The room was large and with great view. The decor is a bit old, over decorated and the fragrance inside a bit overpowering. Each to their own. But The service was very good and accommodating. All in all it was a pleasant stay because of the nice service.

The St. Regis was absolute perfection from start to finish. The staff were attentive and genuinely caring, the rooms were beyond beautiful, and the breakfasts were nothing short of amazing. Every aspect of the hotel exceeded my expectations. The art and decor are absolutely stunning — there’s a unique charm and elegance to the space that reminded me of the atmosphere in the BioShock series, which fans of the game will definitely appreciate. I’ll absolutely be back. Thank you to the entire team at The St. Regis for such an unforgettable experience.

I normally don’t like to write reviews. But I have to say St Regis on the Bund is exceptional, feeling guilty if I haven’t given a five-star review! Everything is perfect, from location with beat river view to detailed services. Definitely we will return next time when revisit Shanghai.

The hotel is in a great location with spectacular view of both side of the bund. Certain rooms are quite worn out , one can see some stains on the wall panel and carpets...  Excellent Chinese restaurants in this hotel. The general manager Mr.Breuer was very efficient, he over see  all the details and made sure that our problems were solved quickly!

This was one of my best hotel stays by far in Shanghai. The service, the suite and the Bund view were beyond amazing. I came to the hotel for my birthday and stayed 2 nights. The hotel beautifully decorated my suite and had a nice chocolate cake prepared for me. I have to give special appreciation to the manager Ms. Kimmie. She really took the time to welcome me and made sure all my needs were met. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a true 5 star hotel experience.

Extremely happy with my stay at St.Regis! Location was perfect, and we absolutely love the breakfasts! Highly recommended. 

The services have been good but a little bit out of the central location like Nanjing road tourist area. The hotel always has helpful staff to await your return from outside . They will assist you to take your shoppings and greet you upon your arrival. This is a rear seen assistance from other hotels. The scenery from window is excellent and you may see the magnificent scene all day.

location is fine where is located along the bund. hotel lobby for checking in is very small!

The hotel is very new so not much to complain about. Staff service is decently good and proper if not a bit lacking in genuine enthusiasm. (Applies to most major cities in the country though.) Great location for first time visitors of the city, being closer to all the major tourist attractions and gives you a great view of the skyscrapers as well.

Very bad services, irresponsible behaviour. We just checked out from the hotel and we asked the concierge to book for us a car for going to Hong qiao station . The driver just now your concierge booked for me was extremely terrible ! In this 34 c temperature super hot and they got me a broken car which without aircon and the driver was unprofessional, within the 1 hour journey I was like dying and high blood pressure . The car windows he open it and full of bad air. Why this five star hotel staff didn’t check the car before arranging for us ? Why they said this is not their job ? Terrible

I tried to check in at 2pm, was informed that the room was not ready for at least 1 more hour. Asked the receptionist for a restaurant, and instead of pointing out the ones from the hotel, she sent me to Yu Gardens... Come back after an hour and was informed that I need to wait for another 30 min at least. I was given a voucher for a soft drink, and I headed to the lounge to get this drink, I showed the voucher to lady and she said for me to have a cold tea that I agreed. At 3:35 stand up to get my key and the waitress ask me to pay for the tea, I pointed out that I got a voucher and she said that voucher was not good for cold tea and I need to pay aroung 230RMB for a tea I didn't want at the beginning, I was there just for the absurd waiting time for the room to be ready! I asked the manager, and they said no need and they would take care... Arrived in room 1771, a well-appointed room, tried to make a coffee, and the machine was not working... I called the concierge and informed about the machine, after 5 min a lady call me to offer me a bottle.of wine, that I declined as I don't drink offer fruit and at the end an upgrade to the room, I went to the toilet and left the room at 16:00 as I had a meeting. I arrived at the meeting with sweaty clothes and without taking a shower as I got the room over 90 minutes later... I received the key of the new room before I left, when I come back I tried to use the key but was not active, i headed back to reception to check what happened and they activated but didn't apologise for the mistake. The new room had a view of the Bund, so there was no upgrade of the room itseld was just an upgrade of the view... The hotel is nice, has good amenities, and breakfast is solid, fresh, but not as much choice as compared to Shangri-la Pudong. The pool changing room and showers need better cleaning and mantenience. The people at the reception and at the lounge need better training and level up their English to a better standard, hotel is 5 star, experience is far from it.
