Shangri-La Jiangyue Beiting Homestay (Dukezong Ancient City Moonlight Plaza)

Hotel provided free transportation to and from train station and service was top notch. Room was spacious and conveniently located just 3 minutes walk to old ancient city. There is no air-conditioning in the room but it's not needed in Shangri-La, even in summertime.

During the rainy season, this place is very cozy and has everything you need. The room was big and had an oxygen machine along with humidifier and heater to ensure comfort for our family. Bright room but blackout curtains were effective. Views were mostly of construction around the location but didn’t bother us. The location is well-located with a convenience store down the street and plenty of Old Town restaurants in walking distance along with giant prayer wheel. Cars can come to pick you up directly or you can rent mopeds nearby. The couple who runs the place also gives great recommendations of when to do things and how to get places - easy to reach them on WeChat or in person. Having a pickup and dropoff makes travel super convenient. The breakfast is also healthy and filling. Shangri-La is quite high altitude, and we weren’t sure how we’d adjust, but this place has everything you need whether you want to rest or play! Wishing them much success with their future expansion

Location= Wonderful. At the heart of ancient town with accessible halal food nearby. No need to worry about carrying heavy luggage across cobblestone pavement since owner fetch you from train station free of charge Room= Wonderful. I have to say the most feature packed room I have ever been with little money. Expensive looking bathtub overlooking the mountain, effective heater and heated floor, bedside oxygen, Dyson like blower even a room projector. Staff = Wonderful. Going out of the way to make you feel welcome. Fetch you from train station at night, helping with the tour, settling your luggage etc etc. Tried their hardest to please you although with language barrier.

Is located at the corner of the old town, 2-3 mins to walk. Clean and Nice host couple. We got free train transport by them.

Wonderful people working here! The breakfast is really nice as well! Add the hotel number on WeChat to request the pick up at the airport or train station, and it was really nice of them to include it. The room was clean, there was a heated mattress and heated floors so it was very warm and comfortable. There's a convenience store really close if you need to get anything and the hotel is extremely close to the old town, but just on the outskirts (so it is quiet). Lots of really good restaurants within 5 minute walk. I would recommend having something to hang things on (like jackets), as it was hard to find places to put them, although lots of comfortable sitting areas. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

the strong points of this hotel are the location and the staff. the two guys who manage the hotel are truly incredible, good and efficient. the room was also clean and equipped with everything. the only problems are, first of all that the room we expected was a little different because the images that are found are all made on the computer and also the breakfast unfortunately had nothing western as they said instead. However, apart from these two problems the hotel is highly recommended. if you are undecided book it!!!
