Mai Tai Resort

We loved our stay at Mai Tai. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Port Douglas providing a stunning and peaceful retreat at the end of a busy day. Andre is a very attentive host, ensuring the property and gardens are well maintained whilst the continental breakfast of various fruits, yoghurt,cereals, croissants and various toasts provided for a substantial start to the day. Rooms were comfortable, bed linen and towels clean and fresh. Thanks for having us Andre, we will definitely stay again when we are up your way x

We had a phenomenal stay at the Mai Tai. Not only were the views incredible; the room super romantic (with a very cool outdoor tropical shower); and the location perfect for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, Mossman Gorge, and the Daintree Rainforest; Andre (the host) was so warm and welcoming that we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a serene and romantic stay in the most gorgeous rainforest location.

Perfectly located close to Mossman, Port Douglas & Jullaten (for our fellow birders) this charming Bali themed guesthouse is set high with spectacular views to the coast. The great bonus was André, a most delightful, warm & helpful host. We can’t wait to return.

A special gem in the top of the rainforest. I had a restful and peaceful stay there while in deployment working at Mossman. The place is very well looked after and you can feel the and care devoted to it. You feel immersed in the rainforest and have astonishing views to mountains and ocean. Lovely private breakfast table with tropical fruits and warm croissants. Andre’s hospitality is one of a kind. If you need quiet and tranquil, I am sure you can find it there. Very short drive from Mossman and Port Douglas, easy to get to shops, restaurants and touristic spots if you wish. Super recommend this place!

This is our 3rd stay at Mai Tai resort. We first stayed for our 40th Wedding Anniversary celebration and loved it so much we just had to return again and again. It really is a piece of paradise, stunning views, a unique property, tranquil and welcoming. Andre is the best host, with perfect attention to every detail. The suites are beautifully furnished and we loved the outside bathroom.

Mai Tai resort came highly recommended by a personal friend and the experience she described perfectly fit the exceptional stay I had. This hidden gem is tucked away in the beautiful hills of Port Douglas overlooking the breathtaking views of mountains meeting the ocean surrounded by the lush greenery of the rainforest. My lovely host, Andre, took care of every detail from ensuring the room was pristine, tours were booked and detailed recommendations for everything imaginable. He is an absolute jewel of a person and our chats over breakfast (freshly assorted local fruit and a priceless view) were one of the most memorable moments of my stay. Mai Tai is the perfect venture right outside of Daintree, between city center Port Douglas and Mossman, with easy access to beautiful beaches, fine dining, shopping, spas, and local tours. The secluded location guarantees privacy and total relaxation, and is the ideal place if you want to be away from the bustle of a busy city, traffic, and people. I also loved the Balinese themed decor and the outdoor shower is an absolute must!
