We have been every year for the last 4 years. If we can twice a year. This year we took friends and family. There was 15 of us. Rooms do need a little TLC very minor but clean and comfortable. The beds are huge. Rooms are very spacious. The staff are unbelievably good at keeping you happy fed and watered 24/7 we have a son with special needs and uses a wheelchair the staff were amazing with him yet again. Staff have great understanding of English. I would highly recommend this hotel. This hotel offer their own taxi service which is great prices very reliable and safe. Very close to shops (on same street) and old market (5mins in taxi) food has huge selection throughout the day. McDonald’s next door. Spa is great in hotel. They are currently expanding the hotel which will have 3 more pools (already have 4 pools) along with slides soon to be completed. I would say by September 2025 The manager and the wonderful Anna (customer relations) will do anything to make sure your stay is the best it can be. Price of this hotel is great. We book through onthebeach and loveholidays The hotel isn’t over large but plenty of space. Entertainment is good. Daily activities are fun. Kids club is good. They have their own beach with a free shuttle bus every 30 mins which also has bar and food served Gym is small but I have not ever used it so can’t comment. Highly recommend some trips. White Island boat trip is amazing. Quad biking is great fun. Waterpark for the day is good fun. Watersports at beach are fantastic This hotel has Facebook page. Take a look.

This Is the third time at hotel Il Mercato, great experience, thanks to Mamhoud Kamal at the reception for the room upgrade . We would appreciate It. Food Is not excellent, but normal for one week.No any One italian people in hotel. Why? Hotel Building Is in italian style but not for italians. Terrazzina beach Is the Best way tò take sun in Sandy beach. We' ll come back again in future . Thanks everybody, Riccardo and Candida.

Mixed review sadly. Staff are all lovely. Foyer is Instagram friendly. Whilst a very cheap holiday the food was middling at best. Alcohol appalling, spirits terrible, ran out of beer for 24 hours, tiny flimsy plastic cups. Staff kept bringing us wrong drinks, often warm. I am not sure they know how to mix a cocktail or make a decent coffee, the coffee machine in the foyer made terrible weak coffee, the one on the roof was a proper barista coffee machine but was of course broken and you got a Nescafe coffee 10 times too strong, although it comes with a smiley face on the top. We got a good room with our superior booking, our friends had the same booking and a terrible ground floor room. They were moved the next day. We had lukewarm shower 75% of the time, and air conditioning made no difference to the temperature. Beds, linen and pillows very nice. Wifi strong. Only got a few small tubes of shampoo and shower gel. Towels changed daily. Animation is decent but can be repetative, darts blunt which got annoying for pennies this could be sorted give the animation a decent budget please. Same animations every day. Free beech is decent, 210 pounds for a Sakkara beer. Biggest problem is lack of any decent restaurants or bars near, old town has one restaurant other wise it is a trip to Naama bay with a crazy taxi driver who tries to rip you off. And with the middling food you will want to eat out, although we had one decent meal in the hotel. Deserts fairly decent, no ice creams. No butter for rolls unless you ask, and anyway it is funny margarine that you cannot spread. When we were there 95% Russian and Azerbaijan residents, friendly and quite good fun joining in the animations. We are used to tipping to get good service, didn't make much difference so like everyone else it seems we stopped tipping. Mosquitoes had started to multiply after a cold spell so be careful. Nearest supermarket Mango is quite good and cheap fixed price. Big building work going on here be aware, going on at night too. Local streets unsuitable for anything other than the very able bodied, and untidy and isolated. In terms of Sharm hotels Il Mercato is far from the worst as we met someone who had moved from another local hotel, but by our usual Spanish holiday standards this was only a 2 star at best. Just to repeat the staff are lovely and the animations team do wonders.

On arrival, I noticed a couple of issues which I pointed out, mainly to do with our room and which, for me, would have been a showstopper. I was amazed by the positive attitude of Ahmed, (and in his absence, Mahmoud ) who swiftly put things into action and rectified these, going over and above, in order to adjust things in line with my request. This was done successfully and quickly, with such a positive ‘can do’ attitude , that it blew me away and I was truly grateful, thank you so much Because of this, I was happy again

This hotel is is great value for money, it the fourth cheapest on any holiday site and To go from bed & breakfast to all inclusive is about £20 per week per person. So wen you read people moaning about the food it baffles me as 7 days breakfast lunch & dinner along with all drinks come on! Also if you get bored go and eat out, don’t just eat there as you’ve paid for it, you’ve paid pennies. McDonald next door £3 Big Mac meal, grill house across the road steak, chips and 2 side £10 or Shawarma (kebabs) down the really nice and fresh £5. The rooms are clean and tidy and the room cleaning staff are fantastic. The guys in the Restaraunt make your holiday and have become good friends as we there 3 times in the last 4 months including all over Christmas and new year and the way they laid everything out and the amount of food was outstanding. Ahmed the manager and Anna customer service lady are great, on our second stay we had a letter welcoming us back from them both. I can say that we would hear people moaning at Anna around the swimming pool and she was so professional, English people love to moan so hear my moan, shame about the rude Russian lady on the counter at the spa she’s cost the hotel a lot of money she’s not a people person and really needs replacing they would double there takings. In a nutshell great location, lovely staff, 4 different swimming pools, lovely gym on site however don’t expect the Ritz it’s 5 star in Egypt it’s not Dubai. I just want to thank all the Restaraunt staff, clean staff Hassan and all reception staff for making us return for 2 months all over Christmas and the new year was amazing, yes the food is a little bit repetitive but chef Smile will always try to give you something different if you ask.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and spotless. Rooms are spacious. Great pool locations. The hotel is quite central to local shops and food markets. Staff member Ramadan Ahmed goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable :)

The Mercato was selected for us by Wizzair after they delayed our flight by more than a day. Allegedly 5 stars this hotel was as awful as wizzair themselves turned out to be. The rooms smelled musty and stale, the furniture is old and the sheets and towels stained. The water in the bathrooms runs yellow and our room also had a leak so the floor was extremely wet. The usual things one expects, such as teas, clean kettles and bathroom kits were non-existent. The balcony was covered in droppings. The staff were alright, some such as Mahmoud Mohammed were unhelpful however and refused to answer our queries and concerns. The taxi desk charge double the going rate for fares and are to be avoided. The airport transfer is 20$ instead of 10$ and cannot be negotiated down. The restaurant food gave me food poisoning, which I had managed to avoid the entire time I was in Egypt at my original hotel. The staff cleared the table while we were still eating. The exterior is the only thing it manages to do well, the communal areas look nice and welcoming but the rooms and food are awful.

Il Mercato team members are available around the hour to enure our guest request is being handled immediatly. as we believe that our guest satisfaction is always our priority. if you had unpleasant food experience in your previous hotel, this is not relating to our hotel, also staying in our hotel is optional for the guest, we had a full house during the festive season for long time and we can assure that we had a very happy customers had enjoyable stay with us and confirmed they received excellent level of service. the mentioned horror of a stay reason, definitely not the hotel. We really really really enjoy here, especially the hotel staff was very nice and friendly. The room was very clean, the hotel staff look after us very nicely. We are pure vegetarian, and when we ask the restaurant staff, they came with us and show every single dishes that we can eat. And we realise they had many options for vegetarian. Even we choose to eat in buffet still the staff did very fabulous service fabulous service. They had a very nice arrangement for a city tour and taxi drivers as well. When we ask them for city tour and taxi over there and they suggest us very cheap budget friendly taxi driver, I believe his name Abdo very nice and he really take care of us very perfectly. The whole hotel properties, very nice and very clean. Even they felt us like heaven Thank you so Il mercato and the staff And We will definitely come back again here

Well what can I say best holiday ever for fun. The hotel I would not rate as 5 Star maybe 3*/4 but we had a great time. Firstly we would like to thank Ahmed Hassan and the rest of the Reception team for giving us great service. Secondly the Animation Team, Ecko, 2Pac and the rest of the team, their entertainment was second to none Also the bar staff and their Bar Manager Hakim absolute brilliant service and such a laugh. Mostafa (Zaki) Alaa, Mahmoud (Phil Phil) Atef and Mahmoud Saied. Mahmoud Saied he is my number 1, you would have a normal conversation with him and then all of a sudden he would come out with some funny English sayings, he made my stomach ache and eyes water laughing. I would honestly say This was the best holiday ever, not for the hotel but for the staff. We love you all and thanks for making our holiday a brilliant one. We will be coming back this year and can’t wait to see you all again ❤️❤️❤️ Love Julie and Jay xxx

The hotel was very clean and spacious. All the staff were friendly across the board. Especially Ramadan and Ahmed. The pools and gym were decent. The food quality was average but the service was good. Overall really enjoyed my time relaxing here.

Lovely hotel with the most amazing staff you could ever wish for. Three pools which one is heated. Fantastic spa with many treatments available Great location. On site travel representives that can arrange many trips as you like. Anna and all the management team always so caring and help in anyway they can.

The hotel is immaculate, all the hotel staff cannot do enough for you. The food is fresh and although not spoilt for choice it is plentiful and replenished on demand. It is only a two storey hotel, the views of the mountains are something else. The inclusion of access to the Terrazzina beach is a massive plus with plenty of comfortable shuttle buses throughout the day making the 5 minute journey. My only negative comment would be that the bathrooms need to brought up to date.
