I have stayed at the hotel for a week and have mixed emotions with my experience. First of all, once I arrived to check in, one of the staff cassually asked to send him a confirmation (which had my personal information) screenshot to his whatsapp, as I naively didn't think anything of it, turns out it was his way to "chat me up" later. Secondly, I have received a terrible room, with things broken like the door lock/toilet flush and surprisingly very, very DIRTY. It was very clear to me that the pillowcases were not clean but used. Also, there was dust EVERYWHERE, the bathroom was all mouldy, and there were ants coming to the bathroom out of nowhere. Much of it, I didn't let to ruin my mood and focused on other things instead. I have mainly stayed by the beach and other days I was on tours also, had a couple of days where I stayed for the nights show, but the sound is so terribly loud, nearly impossible to stay, you can literally go deaf, it's not distrubuted well withing the area and way way too loud. I didn't spend that much time within the hotel. Overall, I felt safe and comfortable travelling on my own as a female. The food was not so great, and it is the same every day, and only 1/2 dishes are changed throughout the entire day. I can definitely say the hotel doesn't deserve a 5-star title, it's more of 3/4 at best. But mainly my disappointment came on the last night of my departure. As I have travelled alone, naturally some staff (mainly receptionists) would recognise me and we would have a friendly chat about my experience and what I was up to whilst in Egypt. As that evening, I came to reception and wanted to print out my boarding pass, as I was trying to figure it out, few customers were coming before me as I was not in a rush, two security staff of the hotel. Approached reception and were listening to my conversation, it was extremely weird behaviour, at first I thought it was a joke amd wasn't actually aware it was because I suppose "I was talking too long to receptionists" or some sort...But it turned out that they were there because of me! Which was mindblowing. I did not realise you were not allowed to talk to receptionists, and actually, I couldn't grasp what I had done wrong , as they hadn't said anything to me directly, but were hanging around and staring at me, making me very uncomfortable and confused, to the point that I was not able to even sort out the problem I realised I had with my flight, but had to leave eventually, as even a reception manager came to me as if I am being a nuisance to them. I would have never imagined that security instead of making customers feel safe and comfortable that they are there, make you feel the complete opposite and a threat. As a female, I found this was a very awkward and unpleasant experience that literally caused me stress as I couldn't sort out the problem I needed help with, and had to stress in the morning to find a solution.
